    TobyCat's winter buildup

I rented a spring compressor today to take apart the TEINs as they are in rougher shape than the Cuscos. After cleaning everything up, and checking for leaks everything looks to be in working order...just kinda ugly. There is surface rust on the tubes but they look like they should last for the...

    TobyCat's winter buildup

Sway bars are in! I was hoping to get the suspension bits installed this weekend but I *accidently* have to go to Vancouver this weekend to talk to Greg @ cooleeze...let's see what comes out of that ;)

Where to get Greddy 720 injector clips?

I bought mine from horsepowerfreaks, but they're expensive (45 a set). I have two sets though, and would part with the used set for pretty cheap. PM me if you'd like.

    TobyCat's winter buildup

Small update, my coilovers arrived! pair of Tein HA fronts, and Cusco rears. Hopefully my sway bar kit arrives soon, so that I can install these all in one shot. I think I'll rent a spring compressor to disassemble the coilovers, clean them up, and put new boots onto the Teins. Other than...

    white smoke

Well, does the car do this all the time or just when it's first started up? First, there are 3 situations here and they all depend on what you mean by "white" and "smoke" ;) 1. White "smoke" is almost always BHG, as that's coolant burning. But... 2. Is the smoke actually white? or is it more...

    Is this hump necessary?

Which hump are you talking about? Also, I'd be careful cutting bits out on a unibody car :)

My Supra just blew its headgasket.

Well if it lasted 3 years that's not so bad ;) I'd say buy yourself a beater, and take your time. That's what I've done and works out great - cheaper insurance, gas etc.

    TobyCat's winter buildup

Well, my shine lip was damaged and I fired them off an email yesterday. They've already setup for Fedex to pickup the damaged box and filed a claim against it. Talk about customer service!

    TobyCat's winter buildup

Well finally finished it off today! So the short and skinny of it is the stock clutch disk doesn't fit the Fidanza without some filing down of the some of the rivets. So I got the stocker resurfaced this morning, and by 3pm started puting the tranny back in. Got some help from an old high...

Did I get sent a W58 clutch disk?

Just checked, and it fits on the splines just fine. Picking up the stock flywheel from the machine shop so screw it...I'm installing the clutch tonight without the Fidanza.

Did I get sent a W58 clutch disk?

I went an picked through the dumpster to get my old clutch disk...looks like it's exactly the same as the new one. Hmmm. I'll double check if the new disk slides on the splines, but I have to wait until the day's out. Don't wanna get in the way during work hours! Thanks for the info lagged.

Did I get sent a W58 clutch disk?

Hi Supramania, I went to go put on my clutch yesterday and the disk doesn't fit the fidanza flywheel. It has too much depth (on both sides) and doesn't fit. This disk does however fit the stock flywheel just fine. So, either A)I've got the wrong flywheel or B)wrong disk. Nashman assures me...

    TobyCat's winter buildup

So onto Monday, where I had to get to the shop first thing in the morning to roll the car out (so my bro can work!), and started assembling the snap rings etc. to the PP. All went well, cleaned up a lot of the greasy under bits and waited for Nash to show up after work. Well dammit, it looks...

    TobyCat's winter buildup

Well, Sunday went a bit better than Saturday. Got everything off and were ready to put the new clutch, flywheel, PP but appearently the zip I downloaded with the TSRM didn't have the torque specs. Cleaned up the tranny a bit. It was pretty caked in oil/dirt from what I thought was a leaky...

HPF bronze Vs. RPS stage 3

TaSe: Can you take some front/back pictures of that ACT clutch disk for me? I just ordered the HD00 kit, and I think they sent me a disk for a W58 :( It wouldn't clear the fidanza flywheel.
