The tsrm will chow you vac line diagram. I would recommend hooking it all up properly before deleting anything. would be more efficient if it were done right.
wow didnt know this was still alive seen and thought i would post. I dot rid of the mbc for the tru-boost love it too death. Little hard to get the duty cycle setting right, wish instead of percentage they had actual boost pressure that you want. love the settings specially the overboost
What kind of controller are you using? I had that problem before too turned out to be a bad boost leak? check the diaphragm in wg. What new turbo are you running?
I had ran into a couple severe bhg that would push say 120psi+ of pressure right into coolant passage looks like old faithful lol. You say it only happens sometimes, at idle high rpm when? you may have a water pump that can be giving out also? or a belt that is sleeping under high rpms? just a...
If by chance the air gap got screwed up wouldnt that do the same? Kinda like points in an old vehicle? And dont they sell the cps internals at the dealer? I think if you can find the wire that pulse the voltage you can back probe with an analog meter and see whats up. You may also have a good...
Dumb question do you have coolant in it? are you positive it overheating? Possible air bubble. Pull radiator cap and start car if it shoots a stream you have bhg, time for rebuild. Are you losing any coolant on the ground if so find the source and repair. If bhg is suspect do compression test...
wow you really are testing the whole system in and out. But i think you might be going too far. When i did mine i made a tester that plugged into inlet side of turbo and blocked off charge pipe right before tb. that tested the ic system. Anything from the exhaust manifold back will not be a...
Deleting the egr is not gonna help you if thats why you are doing it? search on this post for vacuum line routing and i think someone has all the egr lines highlighted. But removing will not gain performance
Did you ever remove the cps? may have installed in wrong position? also i believe there is a test for the air gaps inside the cps. If you suspect your harness repair or replace it. My car ran fine with the igniter jsut hanging, had no bracket for awhile so i am not sure if that can create an...
OK maybe someone can help me out on this. I just got some adr-7 17x7 wheels, the tires on them are shit and way small (205/40) mounted one to see how the rims look, and it looks like they are tucked into the wheel well like an inch or more? Is that just how it looks with the small tire? I found...
Yeah true on that i have bumped the fan switch down now though so that it comes on at 195 cycles off at 190. gauge stays below 210 now. I would like to keep it as cool as possible and was told in another thread the optimal temp for these cars (what the ecu likes) is between 185 and 200 is that...
ok so i just read the entire post and now i am a little lost as to what the thread is actually about? is there an issue going on or just want to change rad and e-fans? Personally i am using a flexalite e fan with hayden controller, and aftermarket mech temp gauge. car reaches 210 steady, fan...
It is kinda hard to determine if there are any other problems with car without knowing anything other than your reservoir leaking? Does your car overheat? does it run rough? What you need to do is follow the the advice in the thread. Compression test, leakdown test, block test, coolant pressure...
if you eliminate the companion cylinder to that it will run like a 4 cyl. not sure if it will work correctly but it might not feel like such a mis fire. I ran into a guy that had done that on a v8. had hole in piston so he eliminated that cyl and companion and it ran like a v6, no balance issues...
Yeah i would def inspect the spring, caps retainers and so on. Maybe even take t belt off and remove cam. I have been sold these are non interference engines, but that may be wrong. 1.2mm gasket, according to what is posted as a sticky that is smaller than stock compressed right? i dont know how...
