that's tiight I like! I'm more from the west coast of canada =p I got a 1jz in my mk3, I debated doing a 1.5jz too but my bc272 cams were the deciding factor for me lol why auto though? why not slap a v160/v161 init
ahh I;'m so jealous, my friend just bought a sc400 with a v8 and he has a soarer also with a 1jz like my supra and I would rather of had the extra two cylinders then the turbos. Are you planning on turboing this block or leaving it N/A? the mk3 has always looked more like a muscle car to me...
I put 2 12" kickers in my hatch too, it's definately overkill. I got the bass at -3 with the gain turned about middle and I still drown my speakers out in some songs.
with that being said. I went into toyota to ask for a trd shiftknob to put on my beechperformance short throw shifter and the guy in toyota parts states they don';t list it by threadsize but application (ie: car).
so does anyone know what stock toyota would have a thread size about 12mm x 1.75?
that's a sick car I always like blacked out. You should do your side windows too.
buut on another note. I've been really interested in the 440cc mk4 injector swap. I've wanted to do the same on my 1jz in my ttr. I'm just wondering are they pretty much drop if their jdm to the fuel rail? maybe...
I tried to search for this but was spending hours going through things that had nothing to do with it. can you take a jdm 440cc injector from a 2jz and put it in a 1jz's fuel rail? or can you put the 2jz fuel rail and injectors on a 1jz? I was looking for a mild injector upgrade from the stock...
haha pretty sick car, it looks alot like mine ironically. Except you got alot more ponies. After my other project is finished I'm thinking about doing a rebuild. I just need to find the right set of twin turbo's to replace mine with.
that's sick you scored a mk3 with a 2jz, that would save you a lot of money from having to do the swap yourself. if my 1jz ever craps out I plan to do the swap myself too but for now I want new cams in my current motor. But welcome, theirs lots to be learned here.
