    3P's TCCS Disassembly/Analysis

Oups.. I've already bought this one: cgi.ebay.fr/Wang-STM32F103ZET6-board-2-8-LCD-1M-SRAM-128M-flash-/220810049323?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item33694df72b When I've chosen this, I didn't know you would do a daughter board, and thought I would build an op'amp board for analog interface, and...

    3P's TCCS Disassembly/Analysis

Ok mr Pi, Thanks or your answear. In fact my HMI is going to be a MCU board, based on Arm Stm32f103 (Cortex M3) with an lcd screen. It will be installed in the dash and will act like onboard computer of modern cars...

    3P's TCCS Disassembly/Analysis

Very nice job, congratulations really;) Have a question: Will communication protocol of your stuff be released with it?. I will have an HMI integrated in my dashboard, and would love to set it up to handle your ECU modification.

    7M "Ventilation Hose"

My bad :) For sure now what I've read was for DOHC engine. BTW, fresh fuel can be sucked by PCV on some engines, and the trick I've told is a fact ;) I think the hose described in this subject is for oil high flow purpose..

    7M "Ventilation Hose"

IIRC I've recently read that 4m have lot off flow in the heads, and that fresh oil can be suck by the PCV system. On solution is to put a buffer can in PCV line with a drain from that to the crankcase. Another solution is to switch the heads cover (oil filling cap on the right side of the car)...

    7MGTE egr or no egr

Sounds logic, thanks Pi for your explanations ;) To conclude this thread, we can say that for those who wanna go EGRless a fuel management piggyback isn't necessary. An ignition piggyback may be recommanded. BTW Pi,can you please confirm that knock correction of TCCS will be efficient enough...

    7MGTE egr or no egr

Air velocity is a part of load. When EGR is blocked, the air which isn't displaced by EGR is seen by AFM as pi said: Because the drop in air flow is seen, stoicheometry (amount of fuel per AFM metered intake air), remains the same with or without egr. I think we are sure of that now. In...

    7MGTE egr or no egr

I was thinking the same for the timing map, but: - EGR is ON or OFF from the ECU, and ECU knows that. - EGR flow is not constant and depends on throttle angle, intake vacuum, and exhaust pressure that bring me to think that the ECU doesn't seem to take account of throttle angle in its correction...

    7MGTE egr or no egr

Thanks pi for the answear.. I really think that fuel isn't affected by EGR off, because the gaz which doesn't come from exhaust comes from AFM (no egr, no drop of admitted air, no drop of fuel). As you've already told: and I've found a nice explanation from Reg Riemer here: This...

    7MGTE egr or no egr

Hi Pi, First, thank you for your clarifications ;) Then, for my knowledge, I'd like to go further: Assuming that: and: If they were 2 ignitions table in the GE ECU (do you remember?), I think this should confirm that "the base timing map is certainly set assuming EGR to be functional" If...

    7MGTE egr or no egr

Hi guys, I won't giving my opinion about political or ecological consideration (i'm still catted but runing EGRless make me burn 15% less fuel). I wish to enter in the technical debate :) EGR is off when THW is 57°C (135°F). So, why this wouldn't works: I don't remember off hands what else is...

    VSV's!!!!!

When engine is hot, bsv (the one on top of water pump) opens so hc vapor from fuel tank goes into the intake manifold to be burnt. Mine is broken to, and I've simply remove the characoal canister and seal the pipes... Canister will be replaced by an oil catch tank later... ++ RolluS

    jdm vs usdm 7mgte

I think that stock 7mgte TCCS can handle 750grams turbo pressure. Turbo A ecu would then be usefull only to switch to pressure/speed injection? Am I right? Then, if it is just for turbo purpose, i would stay stock and check afr, and use a piggyback if needed. ++ RolluS

    3P's TCCS Disassembly/Analysis

Thank for all your work 3p, very usefull ;) It's going to be really interesting for me as you come to maps studies. I'm going to make my own supervision and fuel piggyback (just applying a constant correction according to octane level). I wish I could help, if you know and have the maps data...

    jdm vs usdm 7mgte

Hi guys. In 3p tccs hacking thread, we learn that one resistor need to be changed to put the ecu in jdm mode (no egr for sure, maybe no canister). Can give you a direct link to the post if someone ask. (Need to search in my favorites) My 2 cents.. RolluS

    Knock Sensor Question

I'm sure squared and round aren't compatible. In Epc, there are 2 reference : 1 Toyota and 1 Denso. We cannot exhange. I've just had the same issue 10 days ago. Voltage checking is a good way to check wiring.

    Knock Sensor Question

Hello, I won't tell my life but just a short story. I've just bought a rebuild engine to replace my tired one. This new engine has round plug sensors. My old one has square plug sensor. With round I had code 52 (knock sensor also), and an erratic engine run. With square, no problem. The...
