yes sir, I was surprised to not run it in 4th, but the tuner said it made no difference on a superflow dyno. I did the tuning myself since it was just safc and fuel pressure adjustments.
it creeped up to almost 15.5 psi and it is on a 1 bar spring, so it creeps a little but not too badly. I think the mainfold design has alot more to do with creep than gate size, but they both obviously are important.
i want a t shirt with the MK3 supra font that just says "supra" on the front and the silouete (sp?) on the back. simple but a real MK3 shirt. I already have enough supra stuff with the MKIV font.
No, I was not implying that there is not a set gate size for a certian HP and there are many complicated variables that detrmine what is the best gate to choose.
horsepower and gate size are unrelated. turbo size, manifold, and boost control are bigger factors in picking a gate. a wastegate is not something to skimp out on. id rather run an ebay turbo with a quality gate, than vice versa.
i have noticed that as well. there were 2 for sale for quite a while last year. I almost jumped on the one that turbohabaero had posted here but I pussed out. I want to have a warranty incase something goes wrong.
well I had my car on the dyno last week and with the SAFC II and aeromotive AFPR I could get a decent tune on the AFRs, but without the timing control I am afraid to really beat on my car. Eventhough I am right in the middle of building a motor for my mustang I think I am going to pull the...
Well, I finally got my car on the dyno. This pull was at 15 psi on 91 octane pump fuel. I am pretty happy for such a simple set up.

It is quite a bit more. I have a 1jz and that run was 91 pump fuel, bw 360(83-75), 272s, and SAFCII, and an aeromotive AFPR for tuning.
The car felt slow to me I thought under 400hp for sure, but I think I am a bit jaded from all the years on 2 wheels.
I have always run a BOV, better safe than sorry i say. However, it is important to use a quality unit. a cheap bov is a boost leak in my experience. I had a cheap HKS knock off and it was leaking at only 10 psi! My current Tial Q did not leak even at 30 psi.

Can you explain how that works? I have swapped injector clips to other injectors and never noticed any difference. Which, to me, suggests the stock non vvti 1jz is batch fired.
