here is a video from the dift day. Obviously I have no idea what I am doing but it was alot of fun.

i have a few videos on my facebook but I don't know how to post them here. I have never actually measured the specs of the small core 272s, but I know they do not have as much lift or lobe seperation as the large cores. I believe the duration is 272.
My set up is a bit laggy for drifting...
I am game for that, but last time i was out there it was packed and some people that showed up at 4 only made 1 pass. I signed up for the drift on the skid pad and got at least a dozen runs in and i left early.
i wanted to update this thread, I did a compression test today and it was 150 cross the board, which is what has been since I did the cams years ago. I have been really beating on the car hard lately doing a drift day and several late night canyon drives. Good to see that I think my tune is...
I am eager to upgrade to aem. I left the af ratio a little more rich than i would have liked due to lack of timing control. Once i am done building the motor for my mustang and get that project complete i will be back with meth injection (no e85 locally) bigger njectors and aem.
i think its is a viable business proposition at this point. If you look at the prices that classic toyotas are fetching now there is obviously strong demand.
i would start saving up come coin for a swap or building your 7m while you enjoy the GE. If you have the sport 4.3 LSD coupled with the 5 speed the GE is fun. Do some suspension mods and learn to get the most out of what you have.
Welcome to the supra world. Your head will spin once you start to realize how much more it costd to build a supra compaired to a mustang. That being said, i love my mk3 money pit.
Great to see some high hp 7ms getting built. With the torque provided by the 7m the wristpin would not be something to skimp out on. Id spend the couple of hours to change out the pins just my $0.02.
Why not use your stock subframe? I did my swap with a clip, but i just used the stock lhd subframe, and the BIC pre 89 jz motor mounts. I think driftmotion sells jz motor mounts for both pre and post 89 cars.
The pre and post 89 lhd subframes require different motor mounts.
I could use a spacer as well on my set up, but with a 90* compressor outlet the s360 fits my super oldschool divided china mani without one. Hood clearance seems to have room for a 1/2" spacer at least.
Dooooo et. I am also thinking about taking a similar approach, but i would only do the rear. To me the fromt looks agressive but the rear is lacking n comparison.
I dont think so. My s360 83-75 makes 450 at the tire on 91 pump gas at 15 -16 psi. I think the s256 would be a good choce, or the precision 54 the OP mentioned.
+1 to what everyone else said. get a wideband, it is by far the best money you can spend on a modified car hands down. the tuning is critical so take your time and do reasearch unless you feel like rebuilding your motor.
