Won't make a lick of difference if his idea of diagnostics is hitting delicate parts with a hammer. :3d_frown:
OP, you get any error codes when you set the jumper to do the timing? You DID jumper TE and E1 when you did the timing, right? Timing is the most likely reason for the hot...
Incorrect. It's more complicated than that. You'll have to get all the finer details from JJ, but essentially when the O2 sensor either disconnected or the line grounded the ECU assumes a full lean condition, switches (for the most part) to the corresponding fuel map, and Vf goes to about 0v (it...
If by "crazy straw" the OP means the accordion section, I have no objection. I'd just leave the resonator in place.
Of course a slow N/A is a slow N/A, so if bling's more important... well, whatever. Just keep the filter out of the engine bay or build an enclosure for it.
Yeah, I kinda figured. Hence the suggestion that you employ a tool designed for diagnosing machinery and locating sounds.... or just a big stick.
You trying to build the...

Stops after what? Help me help you. (<---My high school guidance counselor...
Chock the wheels and use a stethoscope with a long probe to track it down. If you don't have a steth use a long dowel, something long enough so you don't have to get under the car is HIGHLY advised. Have some else help to ensure the car doesn't move and to assist if something were to happen.
There's no way in HELL I'm going over all this garbage again. Search "Intake" in the advanced search and specify the 7M-GE forum. Then search "helmholtz resonator".
If you want a conical filter, fine. The N/A doesn't pull anywhere near enough air for the stocker to be a bottle neck... unless...
Har har... funny guy. I asked for a reason.
Does the reading on the MAFT Pro (SensorMonitor section) Show the same as TunerPro or the same as the wideband? A corrupt definition file for TunerPro's not unheard of.
If you've got the input set correctly then the next things to look at are...
Using a cig lighter adapter to power the laptop? Is the MAFT Pro set for the correct wideband? Are you sure you've got a good connection and that the WB's analog out is set up properly?
I can't say for sure, but I don't believe fuel cut is based entirely on the air flow signal. I'd bet it at least is also dependent on air temp if not other factors.
Personally, I don't recommend screwing with frequency limits... keep a close eye on things.
If you've got a relatively steady WB reading try adjusting your gain. If the gain is too high you may see the AFR (while tracking is active) bounce all over the place. If it's too low it may take quite a wehile for it to reach the target AFR and if it passes it it will take a while to recover.
I installed festoon holders for two reasons..
1) I already had the bulbs. ;)
2) you have no control over where the LEDs face with the bayonet type mount. With the festoon you can rotate the bulbs to ensure you're getting the most light out.
Just put a meter on it and blow in the sensor's port. ;)
I'd go with something adjustable though. As often as that sprayer's going to be coming on you're going to need a second gas tank to make it across town..... Seriously though, 'on' for anything after ambient seems excessive given the only...
I just wiped the orange paint right off with a rag and some M.E.K. Then I painted them with some red model paint (can't remember the brand, may have been Tamiya).
If you want to sand the orange off use 400 grit sandpaper and just paint on some thinned clear paint before you put the red on... no...
Just to get back on topic for a moment... I know, sorry...
I recently installed a nice matched set of GTE injectors (perfect set, WOOT!). From what I found prior to finishing my tune, even with 15% pulled from my mainscale my AFR were still in the 11's!!! Unless they've got a means to tune...
