The MAFT Gen II or the MAFT Pro will provide the same functionality (and more, such as boost control support with the MAFT Pro in speed/density mode and AFR tracking!! Woot!!!) than the combination of a regular MAFT and SAFC II.... plus you also get the benefit of combining everything into one...
Greddy's catch cans and others built in the same manner aren't ineffective, they're just inefficient. ;) Tek's right though, a couple simple mods can make a big difference.
???
Sure, you can add a check valve.... but if you install it correctly it's not going to do anything... The purpose of the PCV system is to let those vapors OUT of the engine and remove excess crankcase pressure, not create it; it doesn't take air in.
A complaint is one thing and it is due if there's a problem.... whining on the other hand is the annoyance (which no one here is doing anyway).
For those of us who are/have experienced this problem how many have at one time or another frequently removed or unplugged/plugged the unit from the...
If you can't find one specifically for the SAFC and the GE you might look over the diagram for the MAFT Pro and 7M-GE... You'll have to do some interpreting as the MAFT Pro has a lot more connections on top of those that you're going to need, but it has most of the one's you'll need as well...
The difference is that ATX connectors are seldom moved/disconnected and reconnected once installed. I don't think these are just up to the repetitive stress they see, particularly in a new install.
I sure didn't think they'd be a problem though... last thing I checked, I tested my harness...
Here, this may be helpful as a general guideline for you:
Actually, while you're working on tuning everything else you might want to set the AFR Tracking for as rich as 11.5.
Hope you get your problems resolved.
I'm off like pants!!!!
Wait... just saw this, you've got the ISC blocked off?! Uh... it needs air. Put a filter on it if you don't want to plumb it to the intake piping. This and the mainscale are probably the problem.
Ok, you've got all the AFR tracking features disabled. Good, so you're not starting a fight between...
Ok.... have you disabled PTT? Please post all the settings from the PT Tracking section in the MAFT Pro... Then look here for more info on the settings and how to ensure it's disabled: http://supra.fadingworld.com/Electrical/MAFT%20Pro/MAFT%20Pro%20Online%20Guide/Manual%205.x.php
Well, how...
Indeed, if you're referring to MP it shouldn't really be at or above ambient (83kPa in the OP's case) unless the car is off (it's reading ambient air pressure then) or you're close to or at WOT or you're boosting. OP, at 83kPa while the car is off ambient I presume you're in the mountains?
OP...
CRE smart... CRE good... LONG LIVE THE CRE!!! :P
Yeah, there are other connectors with better reliability; connectors whose receptacles are circular and have only one slit tend to have less issue with this. Unfortunately, there aren't many options which support the same number of...
My only experience with 935 was quite poor too. I ended up calling and emailing very frequently in order to get things resolved... persistence is the best thing I can advise (that and finding his phone number ;) ).
The guy who runs 935 is the only person... it's a one man show. A lot of what...
Well, without knowing who it is there's not too much in the way of specific advice that anyone is going to be able to offer. I can think of two particular vendors with whom others and I have had similar experiences... in those cases I found that the phone numbers belonging to the manager/owner...
^^^yup, stock gauge isn't the best thing out there.
It should also be noted that you really shouldn't be looking at the numbers that 7M-GTE's are seeing for reference; the plumbing is quite different.
