I haven't yet tried on one, but the harness should plug right in as long as the physical shape is the same. The pin out is the same in my '88 TSRM compared to the '90 on Cygnus. I don't know if there are any changes to the dash harness which would interfere though.
W58 and R154 gears are indeed different diameters... I'm sitting here a bit bummed because I just received a 32 tooth gear that I special ordered which was supposed to be for the W58, but it's the same as the R154 gear I already had (which, as you've already seen, is much smaller than the...
There is not a MAF-T for the 7M-GE... look into either a MAFT Gen II or a MAFT Pro. Do a search, others and I have covered the differences between these in depth previously.
The GE is fully supported... I've been running N/A-T on GE electronics with MAFT Pro for a few months now. The 7M-GE ECU is fully supported by the MAFT Pro. The ECU has a large enough fuel map to support boost, but you really should run larger injectors and add a fuel controller of one form or...
There's this guy who I think lives out near you who you should meet up with... Name's Eric.... real genius.... several doctorates, best friends with god and all that... he'll help.
Well, the guy finally bought one from Toyota. Can't give him shit now as it is possible that he really didn't just want to PP someone $.50... personally I'd have PP'd $5.00 just for the trouble and it's kind of my personal limit.
I have more sympathy for begging... this is more along the lines of the bullshit passive-aggressive "oh, you don't want that, it's worthless... here, I'll get it out of your way..." garbage my sisters and their daughters try to pull.
Only if you said it in Latin. ;)
Actually, call him and tell him if he drives out there you'll give him a full set of ARPs you don't need... give him the address of some smut shack or crack house just as far from his place. :evil2:
From what I've read the bolts have most likely "set" after sitting for as little as a few hours in which case it is quite possible you will read a much higher torque than actual without backing the fastener out a bit. Besides, there's no harm to be had from backing off each of the bolts a...
Then it probably wasn't a GTE tach to begin with... Check the resistors in it to see or measure it with a meter and compare tach readings. It should be a mile off even if it does move.
Anyway, here are the resistor values
Read the thread... sheesh. They are not TTY.
I could swear I've seen a Toyota pub with details on measuring them.... I thought it was in the TSRM... I'll have to dig through my terabytes of MKIII reference materials to see if I can find it now; unless someone else knows off the top of their...
I've got a contender:
(From another site) Won't even pay the $1.20 the dealership would probably want after a small discount of the list $1.80 for a new one... what's worse is he won't even pay shipping for one!
I mean, WOW!!!! MKIII owner of course. :3d_frown:
There's a WTB thread too:
I'm putting my electrical references back up 'as-is' for now... I'll update them as I have time and will eventually continue with my plans to actually build a site up around it. You'll find the guide and my wiring diagrams on this page...
