    My other Toyota- '86 MR2

Slight bit of progress. I'm waiting to see if my exhaust manifold crack can be welded, but finally got the valve covers done in a blue wrinkle finish powdercoat: After sandblasting: Closeup: Motor thus far: I was going to assemble the clutch and tranny onto it, but got called...

    My other Toyota- '86 MR2

Hi guys- Here's a little story about my other car, my soon-to-be daily driver... Back in about 1996, my roomate told me he was going to Mexico for 6 months to sell timeshares. Along with him, his coworker decided to go as well. He had an '86 MR2, and didn't know where to put it for those 6...

Oil Coolerless with Use of High Grade Synthetic Oil.

I have run for 3 yrs on a 7mgte with the na oil stud/ no cooler. No problems, and I used 0w30 synthetic oil. My car is about go get retired to the garage for a complete renovation, at which time a thermostatic oil cooler setup will be employed(it's actually already installed).

Is 200psi on all cylinders bad or good?

Either that, or he's making up numbers and he doesn't know turbo engines. 200psi is on the high side of a typical NA motor.

Engine won't rev when set at 10 Degrees BTDC.

Yeah, putting a GM maf in blowthru mode is nice, and allows you to vent the bov to atmosphere with no problems. Hell- I have an extra GM maf that i'll sell you cheap if you decide to go this route.

    afm delete

I have the original MAFT, and though it does not have half of the features of the MAFT pro, it is super easy to set up, gets rid of the AFM, and I've never, EVER had an issue with it or the GM MAF. I'm about to retire my Supra to the garage for a full restoration, and at that time, I will be...

Engine won't rev when set at 10 Degrees BTDC.

I didn't see your answer about the blowoff valve- maybe I missed it? Is it recirculated? because if it's not, that's why you're stalling out. (just as Gottadiesel inferred)

Anyone with a speedo cable sitting in their garage...

I already have a new short one. I'd like to know the size of the long one, and if I'm not mistaken, the turbo and na long cables are the same part.

    Lag 7mgte

    A .70 A/R on a 57 trim doesn't sound too big.

    subframe crack

You mean like this? Exact same place you mention, just above the diff, slightly to the right of center, when looking towards front of car. My buddy welded it.

Anyone with a speedo cable sitting in their garage...

If you happen to have a MkIII speedo cable sitting around, and you have the time: Could you please measure it for me? I'd like to know the exact length of the cable, as measured up to but not including- the connectors. aka- the actual length of the black plastic covered cable sheath. Thanks...

Ultimate MKIII Period Correct Rims Thread

I think that mesh rims look period correct on the Supra, especially black with a silver lip. I'm also a fan of Stern/ Tom's 5 spoke, and those sweet-ass Advan 3-spoke rims, 17 inch, of course.

Where are you in Atlanta? There are machine shops all over the place. I just dropped my motor off in Canton.

    Wiring diagram O2 sensor

Well, I just finished mine, but my wires didn't exactly match the diagram. I had red/green, yellow/black, and a double shielded brown wire(88' turbo). Obviously, the brown wire is the signal wire, as it's shielded from RF, and I verified this by checking continuity to it through the diagnostic...
