    New Motor Is Trashed, Fix?

SIP gasket- same brand as cometic? If so, those people are talking about a rivet on the mhg that is so poorly placed, that it interferes with the mating surface, requiring it's removal prior to assembly.

New guy needs a little help

Buy a civic. Ok, ok. 1. Did you prep the head and block surfaces for that HKS hg? If not, you need to take both to a machine shop so they can get you a mirror finish. It's the only way that HG will seal. Might have been your original problem. 2. What kind of PCV system are you...

finally got tthe new engine in. misses bad

Any- and I mean ANY- water around the plugs will cause the spark energy to ground to the head instead of the plug. The missing under load that you describe is the exact issue i had when coolant got into the valley. If you haven't already, make sure that all the plug boots are absolutely bone dry.

    Heater Control valve vacuum lines

Do you mean a difference between the 7mGE and 7mgte? If so, then yes, there's a difference. For one thing, the GE has a vacuum resevoir, mounted under the intake manifold. I'm not sure how the lines match up, going over to the heater vsv. Why not look at the diagram under your hood? It'll be...

Cant figure this one out :(, help!!

Yup- you have a fuel issue. Timing should be around 10 degrees btc, so check it as well. But check TSRM for troubleshooting diagnosis.

    Idle problem

sounds like you might have the safc tuned to run it too rich. This is completely a guess of course, but sounds like you have the opposite of a vacuum leak- ie: too much air for the fuel. Rather, you might have too much fuel for the air. It would explain why rpms would drop to almost normal when...

Clunk sound from rear- Anyone ever had a bad half shaft?

Did you get a clunk when in neutral and braking?
  17. supraguy@aol

Cant figure this one out :(, help!!

No. High temps cause NOX. NOX can't even form at less than ~2200-2500 degrees. HC is high because he is rich. NOX is low(a good thing) because being so rich causes low combustion temps. Normally the NOX is reduced by the EGR system introducing spent ex. gasses, which reduces combustion chamber...

Clunk sound from rear- Anyone ever had a bad half shaft?

Same here- I CAN shift without getting the clunk, but but the norm is to get some clunk. SO, All us guys on here that have a clunk, and we can't figure it out...

    idle setting

I think that screw, which strikes the dashpot piston, is just for helping to normalize the rpm dropoff when closing the throttle quickly. I don't think it adjusts idle at all.
