The curiosity i have is how it can raise factory rev limiter.
Fuel cut can be worked around, but rev limiter seems more difficult.
Anyone have more technical information on this?
Damn! Sorry i had the ratio of torque output from 7m to 1j in mind. :sarcasm:
Boost is a measure of resistance to flow, Boost has no direct relation to horsepower or torque output of an engine. Therefore this question unless numerous unknowns are filled in is impossible to answer.
I was trying to do so but theres no way to set the headings for the rows like in the fuel and ignition maps. The only thing i can come up with is put in the whole numbers and the scale will just be half a point off on the gauge.
Just seems kinda stupid you cant put in anything but a whole...
Ahh i see, Anyone out there with a 6860/8860 Wana check that out for me?
Quake: 8860? Axillary inputs have a table you can create that will give a value to the 0-5 volt scale to display with the defined gauges.
I have a problem where i can only enter whole numbers rather then a number with a...
Blackkarma: haha good one. made me "lol"
Quake: Yea i was just trying to explain the reasoning behind it, i like knowing how things work not just that they do.
Since you popped in, you have any experience making translation tables Quake?
Any what ignitor would you recommend, the ls1...
Heres a link to my post http://www.supramania.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1397153&postcount=77
The stinger gives out one signal at a time in sequential order 1,2,3....... The stock ignitor needs the correct combination of one or two simultaneous signals, so a single signal per ignition event...
well as explained in another thread by bfr1992t:
The ignitor doesn't get one signal for one fire, it needs the correct combination of the 3 signals to fire the correct coil, the diodes assure the correct combination is given without letting the signals get crossed because there wired to the...
I believe the plug and play harness has the diodes wired in. i made my own harness so im unsure of this.
The reason you need the diodes is because the stock ignitor is of multiplex variety, at least to my understanding.
To my understanding the ignitor needs multiple inputs to correctly trigger...
Again, your entire argument is control. I understand the difference between an automatically shifted manual and a conventional automatic with a torque converter.
I have nothing to prove, top race teams around the world use an automatically shifted transmission, paddle shifters that use a...
Turbos work off of pressure ratio across the turbine. Ratio means a little here is a lot there.
A little bit of restriction in the exhaust will make a large difference in turbocharger operation. You can increase the output of your turbocharged engine a large amount by changing the stock...
So an automatically shifted Manual is still considered a manual transmission even though it shifts Automatically? Then if i install a supra stick and only drive it in manual mode i have a manual transmission.
So an automatically controlled manual transmission wouldn't exhibit identical...
Yes but you need to hook it up threw a diode circuit for it to work properly. can be found in the other stinger thread, Type stinger thread in search and look in anything with stinger thread in title.
Hey Ian i just realized the 8860 has a ignition shift cut input. Makes me wonder....
Something i might experiment with later on, i think the issue would be getting a signal from a tranny controller. Do you recall if the Supra Stick has an output for that?
