Maintenance isn't a mod, its something that should be performed on any vehicle especially after buying a used car. because something is old doesn't mean it will break, when stupid things are done, catastrophe usually results regardless of age.

When you have no heat check the heater control valve under the hood mounted on the firewall passenger side (USDM At least). Then check it again when you have heat and see if it looks different.

Pull the head off and have it checked out, if its a cracked head, slap on another MHG and bolt it back together after checking with a straight edge. either way have to pull it to check it out, unless you get get a boroscope and try to see where its leaking inside the cylinder.

For the cost/effort of the 1J you could have a nice mild 7m that would be much faster then a stock 1J.

Well the stock rotors arent drilled, so i figure a stock replacement would be blank and easy to come by, especially from a dealer, No? Like i said unless you mean undrilled for the wheel studs, then i could understand the issue....
