the pre-89's have a larger pulley ont eh PS pump, so it has less pressure
removal of the dampner can be done with very few ill effects, the higher pressure of the 89+ PS pump took over for the dampner...
gonna have to go dig out my box and have a look see for this one...
I'd like to hear from the high HP guys on this though as I doubt they torque their studs to such a low spec...
well, the restoration companies are making parts for the 3rd gens now, so it wouldn'e be too hard to make one nice again...
but they're STILL not even close to as refined as a Supra...
that one opens up, magazine covered it not too long ago and said it worked great
probably a lot like the new Z06 exhaust, it opens up pretty good at WOT...
dunno on a supra though
spring is only to put the initial tension on it as the bolt doesn't move...
my guess is that the car wasn't fully warmed up yet... give the car time to learn the map and see if it smooths out (mine always has)
I'd love to ADD TEMS if it was easy to do, but they don't seem to work as well with lowering springs, and aren't going to keep up with a full coilover setup...
TEIN with the controller may be the only way to get a TEMS like drive, but it's not quite the same as the TEMS react on the fly...
