duane: may I ask what other shifter you tried? You CAN slam the R154 into gear, it just doesn't like to do it (usually making a nasty quick grind and/or a nasty click). I like the notchy feel, but I guess that's just me after driving sloppy FWD cars with manuals...

LS engines are NOT normal SBC's the LS series was actually built right, the LT engines where good as well, but they aren't nearly the same as the LS series. EFI is NOT hard people, the tank hes the pump and everything for it, run the fuel lines and wiring, that's it..

thought it wasn't the case the walbro was made out of, but the seals in it...

loose suspension pieces on the back will cause this, check your bushings and all the hardware...
