Don't buy new ones at the same rating. Either go bigger, or just pull your existing ones and have them cleaned and balanced, which should be much cheaper and still pretty quick.

There was a list of cars that used the GM MAF - it was freaking HUGE. I got mine for an Impala SS. As long as it uses the 3 wire connector and is 3" or bigger, I think it'll work fine. You can buy an adapter from Full Throttle for the 5 wire sensors if you want, and it's not very expensive.

There are no structural parts for the dash - there is a big steel bar behind it, however it's not part of the dash itself.
