I searched and was unable to find any threads on the topic, but am almost sure one existed (maybe a few years back).
Anyways, a loooooong time ago I bought a generic set for my 5-speed pedal set, but the accelerator one would not work fit.
What can anyone recommend that fits and looks...
Tokico/Eibach combo is the way to go. I just ordered a set for the newly arrived 91 I just bought. Had the combo on my 86.5, 87T, and 90T. No problems and enjoy the ride/handling.
Looking at options with my next swap. If I have a JDM 2JZ, Auto ECU, auto flywheel, MKIII auto-driveshaft and shifter, would I be able to bolt up a 1JZ tranny from a Supra or Soarer (the target car is originally an auto).
I can pick up a 1JZ auto tranny for next to nuthin' (~$100) and not...
^^That would be ideal. I haven't thought it out yet, but was going to fab the bracket s o that it would let me lift the filter and drain it before removing it. It may get messy, but it's easy to get to. I haven't gotten to the point of my 1st oil change yet... will let ya know.
I wanted to...
I tried that union bolt deal w/my last 1JZ swap. Worth the $$ to just not bother that much with it and get a Greddy kit. Has a place for the 7M sender and a couple of more ports if needed...
I placed the filter by the strut tower...
I've done a couple of other 2JZ swaps, but am very interested in the N/A swap. I have a 90, which I am pulling the 2JZ-GTE from and am going to use it in my inbound 1991.
Once we swapt the TT into the wife's 94 N/A, we may want to drop that N/A into the 90 shell. Keeping close tabs on your...
Here's the pin-out chart I was using for my Aristo 2J swap into a 90.

Save it to your PC, update it w/your info and post it back up (or send to me to host) and we can take a look.
Thanx,
E
I just re-did the brakes on the wife's MKIV... using a large bottle of fluid and a ~14" vacuum line. Poured some fluid in the empty brake system (I had already drained all four lines/calipers). Left the rest in the bottle.
Made a hole in the cap and fed the hose thru. While bleeding...
^^ Ha ha.. supply and demand ;-)
I got a recent influx from SF off-topic ;-)
Actually, got the deal off and then just used some pliers to squeeze in the expanded section at the bottom of the bolt. Still took awhile, but went back on and is now good.
Other, more pressing issue...
Finally got it off... freakin' bottom of the bolt on the hardline is flared out.
I figured I'd cut the hardline and replace it (then re-flare the hardline), but no one has this freakin' bolt... dealer item.
I can't wait on all that, so it's McGyver-time.
Yeah.... this is a commonn issue with the 1JZ swap, but the answers/solutions seem varied.
Which two connectors are U talkin' about OneJoeZee? I have a friend who's inherited my old 1J and is having this issue. We were going to try and find a fan ecu to plug in near the boddy/ecu...
Doing the SS brake line swap in the wife's 94 Sup. One of the lines being removed is loose (no threads holding the male/female fittings together), yet the line won't separate.
The fittings are definitely loose and I am able to wiggle 'em around as if they are loose, but the inside of the...
Damn it... I was looking for a tail light mod!
Glad things are gonna go okay... Which complex did this happen in? They gave ya a tape?
I was in a great place in Clearwater, but they weren't very nice all the time.
I have a used spare I bought for "just in case" that I can try to send you, but then I wouldn't have a spare. This and other silly stuff is what I keep an eye out for when someone's parting out an MKIII, even if I don't need it at that time (and can be had inexpensively when U R not desperate)...
^^I've got all sorts of opinions on it, but will keep 'em to myself.
The only thing I will mention is that like in the service, those cops are usually trained on using the weapons they use and it's effects. The cop woulda known what it feels like and how to react/mitigate it's effectiveness...
What other heat barriers, besides stock, is recommended? I'd like to also be able to put it on the firewall, where the turbos/downpipe would be at.
Seen 'em use something on the MKIV drag cars and other hotrods...
I think the dynaman xtreme doesn't use asphalt tho... does it? They're specifically making this "Dynaliner" for underhood applications, so I was wondering someof the same stuff.
I'm really trying to justify spending ~$200 for a stock (old) technology, or ~$60 for something with newer...
Searched and bringin' back to life....
Ordered some Dynamat Extreme/Xtreme (since most of my interior is out anyways)...
The kit #14055 goes for over $250 at Crutchfield and CarToys, but Amazon has it for ~$121 Shipped (free shipping on orders over $25). Thing is, sometimes you're buying...
