^^Exactly tho... how many guys on the street are using aftermarket standalones anyways. Not that many.
If ya go with the 2J VVTi and modify the hell out of it, then tuning the standalone is just part of all that (and there are standalones that can be used).
The engine is a 2J, with a...
Dude... this is just gonne be multiple pages of us watching U get screwed. Go take your car and get a couple of estimates for the damage that was done.
Do not go to "his buddy's" shop. Instead follow up with the police and find out who his insurance is thru. File a claim thru them...
I had one in my MKIII and it looked sweet as hell. I did not have high HP goals, but everyone gets bent out of shape 'cause they worry about untune-ability.
That was the old days... many of the newer standalones have wasted-spark/VVTi technology.... Jason at JPI was using an AEM I believe...
Wow... I can't believe the drama continues. Bottom line is that ya'll filed a police report, right? Call the cops and let them know that the info that she supplied was untrue and that you'd like to file charges against him... wreckless endangerment, aggressive driver (road rage law?)...
The horn in my 2K Galant sounds much more "manly." I was gonna try swapping to see if it'd work on the Sup. Might try later this week, when it's Sunny again (Thursday).
The only time the Sup's horns are used, are for the annual inspection sticker... I am much too embarrassed otherwise.
...man-o-man....
My kids think the same... he whips out the card like there's no tomorrow...
Thing is, us grown-ups budget for stuff... needs and wants. When you throw a monkey wrench in there, it really does make alot of $$ stuff go out of synch (or what was planned). Sure, I buy and...
I'd also be reporting this to my insurance company... they have legal depts. that handle all of this kinda stuff. With the police report and insurance info, he'll already be able to get most of the info about you.
Need to hit him in the wallet and make sure "enuff" agencies are involved so...
My FP went out and we found lots of rust... still dunno where it came from, but ended up using another tank and pump from a parts car. Replaced the filter too...
We lft the cap loose for a very long time, during perpetual swaps. I'll have to go back and double-check the filler neck, but had...
When I replaced the pan in mine, I also replaced the pick-up and it looked like you could not use the same front sump pick-up, for the rear sump set up.
Been awhile, so I don't exactly remember why, but for about $35 it was an easy choice to make (having it on hand, just in case). Waiting...
Seems to be... I also have a few other manuals (PDF) that show Toyota's harness splicing/maintenance methods and other somewhat-related JZA80 stuff... I copied it of someone's Supra resource CD a looooong time ago. Barely used any of it, but since the fiance has a 94 N/A, we use the 95 TRSM...
I'll see what I can do to pull everything out and take pics tonight (but no promises).
Do you need the wiring/plug to the ECU or anything else? I'll have to see what I can find. Hopefully you have those connectors, etc, on your harness already.
I cut it form each of the sides, about a couple of inches, in a straight vertical line. Basically was going to narrow the shroud to fit on the 7M auto radiator. The Aristo radiator was too wide for the MKIII frame. I was going to trim these pieces of the shroud and then join back tohether and...
I have the fan, ecu, and pump/reservoir/cooler.... ~$150 plus shipping.
The shroud is included, but has been cut/trimmed, but you can fit it and put it back together.
Wow... I never expected them numbers. Must have more members than what I thought ;-) Nuttin' like a friendly competition to bring them all together, on being apart :biglaugh:
The fiance thought she had an account, but had to re-register (no approval yet). Otherwise, Rajunz would have...
Hell naw... There are 2 large bolts accessible at the headlights, then remove the bolts at the fender lining to the bumper cover. Disonnect/remove the foglights, etc... Pretty straightforward...20 minutes max...
The whole bumper assembly will come out at once.. not that heavy. Do a search...
That's not a bad price if it includes the wiring. You need to make sure and spell out everything you expect when they are done. I would for sure get a written estimate with the breakdown. That way you and them have the same expectancies.
If they've not done one of these swaps before, they...
