Brake line won't let go... help.

Doing the SS brake line swap in the wife's 94 Sup. One of the lines being removed is loose (no threads holding the male/female fittings together), yet the line won't separate.

The fittings are definitely loose and I am able to wiggle 'em around as if they are loose, but the inside of the lines won't pull apart. All of the other ones are ready and I just have to reinstall calipers/rotors/speedbleeders (painted them "since we were there).

Anyone run into this before? I'm gonna go install and finish the other 3 and come back and check for any responses, before getting all crazy and starting to cut things up. Never had this issue with the other few times I've replaced brake lines (diffferent cars).

Finally got it off... freakin' bottom of the bolt on the hardline is flared out.

I figured I'd cut the hardline and replace it (then re-flare the hardline), but no one has this freakin' bolt... dealer item.

I can't wait on all that, so it's McGyver-time.

Satan having issues.. just raise the undead to break into the dealership and fucking jack everything supra related... come on Satan, I worship you everyday, you are letting me down big time... gosh

I got a recent influx from SF off-topic ;-)

Actually, got the deal off and then just used some pliers to squeeze in the expanded section at the bottom of the bolt. Still took awhile, but went back on and is now good.


Other, more pressing issue... broke the bleeder valve on the fromnt passenger caliper. drilled in there and have broken 2 easy-outs trying to remove that MFer. No one's got a rebuilt/new caliper in stock and it may have to wait. So many ppl out there giving away the N/A calipers and we've passed 'em up, 'cuae of plans for an eventual brake upgrade. Sunday evening and no hope left, 'cept just picked up another titanium bit and easy-out (broken screw remover deal)... Craftsman this time.

I was supposed to be spending this time finishing MY 2J SWAP!!!! I figured this'd be an easy couple of hours worth of work and it turns into an MKIII nightmare.

Just goes to show that even a 13 year old MKIV, is still old and that's how it goes.
