89 model year = late 88 betcha it's swapped...

Duane and a few others all used the stock flywheel so they wouldn't weld the clutch... I don't trust the RPS MAX PP at all, too many people have killed their motors with it...

Oil galley plugs are just as likely...

I run a stock flywheel with my 6 puck clutch, it's very streetable. Any yep, the less actual clutch material the harsher the clutch and the more it tends to hold (counter intuitive). Full face (stock), 8 puck, 6 puck, 4 puck, 3 puck (yep, they're made, and I'd hate to drive one...)

Pre-89 has them. Sounds like your car either isn't a real 89, or someone swapped it. The power steering pump was also given a smaller pulley to supply more pressure to the rack to account for the loss of dampening.

Yeah, supposedly kaminari "lost" the mold for the 3 piece wing. The old ab-flug wing is nearly identicle as well, but it's no longer made...

Yep, that's pretty damn bad LOL But it supports my point that if the stock style headgasket starts to leak, a retorque isn't going to help as the sealing rings have alreayd shifted. Looks like the oil passages stayed sealed, so you should be safe! I'd still flush the system like jdub said...

Take VERY detailed pics and look everywhere for issues. Post em here and we'll be able to tell you. There are a lot of horrible examples of our cars out there, some worse than others...

You're going to end up boosting to load the engine properly, but I would set the boost to the lowest setting you can...

Rotate the cam like already said, it won't hurt a thing.

Can do the same with System Configuration Utility that's part of Windows...
