You can also replace that bar with a better part for better suspension adjustment.
Adjustable length endlinks are NOT for pre-loading the bar, that would be a bad thing, m'kay? They are to adjust the bar's height to stay parallel with the ground when ride height is adjusted.
Well, he said he was replacing it so I didn't bother beating him up over that ;)
Foam filter that falls apart throwing pieces into the turbo... at the speeds the turbo spins even that tiny piece of foam is going to do damage.
I wish I was, I would have turned around and gone back to get pics but the traffic was too heavy.
It could have been worse, it could have been riced out as well...
Stone is sourced from OEM IIRC...
The EGR cooler gasket in the Fel-pro and other cheap sets is the typical paper gasket while the OEM one is graphite and can take the heat.
Tanya: Yeah, I know they all suck, but someone said they would be fine on an N/A...your car proves otherwise...
The rear tabs on the suspenion arms are weak. Toyota instead of fixing the arms, put plastic endlinks on the 89+ ones so the endlinks will flex/break before the tab did.
If you upgrade those endlinks (or use pre-89 ones) you may have issues with the tabs...
Cooler air is MORE dense.
You'll hit fuel cut with less pressure during the winter because of this.
Pressure drop across the IC is based on the cooling (causing the air to be denser) and flow (if it can't flow enough to keep up), you're not going to have either issue on a stock turbo...
Do NOT cut out the resonator if you value your sanity...
Looking in the EPC, the differences are:
-GE
-GTE
-GE Cali
Digging deeper, the 89+ N/A's had a different mid pipe and cat for Cali as well. Looks like you're just unlucky. You could probably just get a shorter cat and save you...
