Stock exhaust manifold gasket is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the cheap POS felpro or other cheap gasket. Not to mention the POS throttle body gasket...

Stock SBC = slow Building the 7M will be cheaper for the speed. Hell, if the bottom end is still in good shape, a rebuild will cost nearly nothing as it's just checking tolerances... Now an LS1...

3" is HUGE, stock throttle body isn't even that big...

bzzzt, wrong. On the Turbo A the oil cooler was behind the duct. I'm assuming they also ran a larger intercooler.

Stock intercooler is fine if you're on a budget. It's not a huge restriction like it is on other cars.

Buy it, the 250's keep their resale value VERY well. It will knock down 70MPG, top out around 100MPH, and is easy to learn on and get your skills. I've never seen a 250 go for less than $1K. A junkyard around here had one and they wanted $1300 for it...
