Not really sure, as even if you wrap the pipe that goes over the turbo, you're still going to get some heat off the engine...
My main point is that the advantage of hardpipes are:
-don't ballon
-less joints
-less bottlenecks
My Cooleeze where a royal pain in the ass to install, but they...
lol, it would eat the bottle it came in ;)
Still, even diluted will do some serious damage, and it's far stronger than the small amount in glass cleaner which won't pull tint off at all...
It's been a while, but last I knew the most power made on a stock IC was 400-500HP...
It's one of the best stock IC's for it's time and unless you're on an upgraded turbo it's pointless to change it IMHO...
Then pick up some cooleeze pipes for the stock intercooler and be set ;)
I picked mine up second hand, and if I ever upgrade the setup, I can always resell them...
EDIT: Posted this in another thread.
Off JBL's site:
Sadly the link he has on the site to someone else's tests of...
I picked up my Nine Hundred on sale at Fry's for CHEAP (less than $100). They had a batch that had bad 120mm fans, and instead of making people RMA them, they sent a full set of replacement fans with the case!
