How about this - it certainly cannot hurt as long as you are running a metal head gasket. There are theories that it might damage a composite gasket, but we don't have to debate those one way or another here. :)
I have never retorqued mine. I've torn the engine down several times, and they have always been on there DAMN tight when I do, so I don't worry about it.
YMMV, of course.
Just head to the local parts place and pick up McGuires lens polish, and a buffing wheel for a drill. It'll make your lenses look new again in no time.
drunk_medic, EXCELLENT post. I was done with this thread - just keeping an eye on it to make sure it didn't degenerate entirely into a flame fest and require locking - and that post broght the average percieved IQ back up to the point that I'm willing to post again.
Ok - first off, is your car stock?
Second, are your hoses from the factory, or have they been replaced?
If you are driving a stock vehicle, with 15 year old IC hoses, then chances are you have leaks in your accordian hose from the turbo to the air filter, on the hose that comes off the turbo...
