Is it drivable, or does it try to stall before you can drive it anywhere? Have you pulled the codes from the ECU?

I'd bet on timing... if it fires, but won't start, chances are your timing is too far out.

Depends on what kind of options the car comes with - things like oil coolers will trap that residue for longer. You could try getting a flush at an oil change place - they run some kind of detergent through the system and it pulls everything out, then put in good oil, if it comes back at that...

I haven't heard of many members having any luck cleaning these at all.

I've had similar situations here - upgrading individual modules is usually pretty fast, but the vB Forum software rarely works perfectly if you need to upgrade it.

Oddly enough, I use this stuff called (I think) udder creme - it's originally made to treat sore udders on milk cows. The container is even splotchy like a cow. It's the best of the non-prescription ones I've tried.
