Yes, you can buy stick on moulding, you just cut it to the proper length and stick it on. It comes in various widths and colors. Personally I'd get some new stuff from Toyota, or buy replacements in good shape from someone parting a car, but whatever floats your boat.

I've run into the same problem and had it be the windings on the alt instead of the brushes. I'd still change the brushes first, just on the general principle that you replace the cheap parts first.
