for the boost gauge, i tee'd mine in where the cruise control is, and routed the line through the firewall where the throttle cable is (i have a bunch of stuff going through there) and was able to mount the gauge where the cig lighter was.
for the oil pressure.... i used a sandwich plate...
i agree. using a cut off wheel will help with the removal of the old ps line. install of the SS line will be a piece of cake compared to installing a new hardline from toyota (with the engine in the car).
well..........
everything is installed and connected. had a power steering leak and fixed that. after a shitload of headaches with the new prosport oil pressure gauge (wouldnt register pressure after priming the system), i fired it up and it sounded great. except one big problem.... a massive...

i understand that.... but the problem is that its already installed on the motor with the turbo, oil/water lines, etc and i cant take off the block adapter to check.
i cant find any pics of the underside of the block adapter to check either. i basically need to know whether the inlet is on the...
I bought the canton remote block adapter for my new oiling system. im trying to finish up my build today and the last thing i need to do is hook up my oil lines.
for those who have the canton remote block adapter (90 deg swivel), my question is: which is the inlet and outlet if your looking...

i used to run a turbo blanket, and did notice a...
great tips... ive been using the old sandpaper method and it just seems to take forever to get results. ill be trying some of these ideas out

for your goals, plan on spending around $5-6 K for all the machining and new parts..... if you plan on doing the bottom end and do most of the reassembling yourself. might be more if your planning on a professional P&P.
just remember to take you time and work slowly so...

i ran the wires from the sensors in the engine bay through the hole in the firewall where the throttle cable goes. then i ran the wires past the shifter to my center console. i keep it in there when im not driving, and leave it out when i do.
i mounted the wideband sensor on my test pipe, and...
could heat soak have anything to do with it?
ive noticed that after driving for a bit and then stopping somewhere to pick something up, that when i go to start the car back up i experience the same symptoms. i notice that the intake temps at idle are much higher than when ive been running the...
