a wideband o2 sensor is used to monitor exact air/fuel ratios. its a good idea to use one since you are running a lexus afm (25% more fuel) and arent using 550cc injectors (25% more fuel). so basically there isnt enough fuel being burn and your likely going to run lean and cause damage to...
well i wouldnt drive the car until you get some bigger injectors and a wideband.
as far as the turbo, as long as its rebuilt properly, they max out at around 18-20 psi.
for the 8 pin boost control harness, one end goes in the solenoid and the other goes to the maftpro as shown in the diagram. the loose purple wire gets connected to the vf signal on the ecu harness.... not sure which wire it is. youll have to look that up
anyone have any ideas???
also at what point should i need to upgrade to a larger fuel line?
and at what point will i need a better or maybe an additional bov?
thanks
the boost control harness should just plug into the solenoid and the other end into the maftpro... im not sure what the problem is.
if i remember correctly, that loose wire (purple) can be used for aux 1. i have mine hooked up to the vf signal.
thats not entirely true. i replaced mine during my build. with the crank in, they were a pain in the ass, but definetly doable. i did have the motor out, so i made it easier. you just need to rotate the crank for each one.
good luck
yea man. ive been really busy with school, work and moving in to my new place. im down for a meet as well.. unfortunately i havent had much time to work on the car. so i prob wont be ready with my car till the end of the month.
fridays almost all day and saturdays after 9pm are good for me...
im assuming you bought the maft pro kit with boost control... correct?
if so it should have come with the maft pro unit, boost control solenoid, main harness (big connector on one side and loose wires on the other.... this should be soldiered to the appropriate ecu wiring), and the boost control...
im i recall correctly, it is a 2.5" outlet on the turbo, which is larger than stock. so you will need either a reducer if your going to use the stock ic piping, or just fabricate some 2.5 inch piping to go to your new ic.
also, the turbo your getting doesnt come with the lipp hi-flow turbo...
damn.... i tried resetting the maftpro and i reset the timing again and its still running rough.... seems like a miss
coils are good, cps is installed and aligned correctly, plugs are new and gapped properly, wires are new
cant figure it out. and im not sure if it related to my afr...
Hey, im back from vacation. havent really driven or worked on the car in several weeks. I hope to have it broken in and the kinks worked out by the etown meet in october.
Should i be running the trasko filter during the break in period? i thought some wear is needed to seat the rings.
