i dont know the shipping costs... but for a piece like this, it shouldnt be too much money considering its size. shouldnt be much more than $25 within the lower 48 states
what i did to stop the crank was put a screwdriver through the hole in the flywheel so when it turns, the screwdriver hit the motor. i read somewhere that using anti-seize lubricant on the pulley and bolt is a good idea if you ever want to take it off.
i guess i will buy or rent a bigger torque...
thats a great idea. i sent mine out to clean so im in no rush. this way is much easier, cheaper, and i dont have to be stuck without a running car for a week. post pics when you get a chance.... great info for the next time i clean them out

ok cool. thanks. i just needed to know before i torque them down.
one more thing. the tsrm doesnt say anything about installing the pilot bearing. according the the diagram, it looks like you are supposed to install it after you put the flywheel on. it didnt want to go in that way. and...
im trying to do everything according to spec. i feel if i use my impact gun, i wont know if its too tight or not tight enough. last thing i want is to strip the threads on the crank, or have it come loose.
i will be working on getting the clutch situation straightened out tuesday morning...
JJ: i never thought of cleaning the injectors that way. so you basically run the car and bring your fp down to about 14psi? do you use any additives to the fuel when doing that?
do you mean that clip that holds the plug wires to the coil packs? i dont have these clips. mine broke years ago and ive been fine without them since.
as far as plug wires go, many people use NGK wires. Or if you want to gets something a little better, get the 8.5mm MSD wires.
Another option...
I bought the Driftmotion Stage 4 clutch (Action 6 puck ceramic/metallic disk with an ACT EXTREME 3000lb pressure plate). This is my first time installing the clutch without the help of a mechanic (was about 5 years ago, so i dont remember how to do it).
For those of you who have this clutch...
got a lot done yesterday. i will post pics tomorrow.
i had two questions
1) when installing the clutch cover, there are six bolts that have to be torqued. with the action 6 puck that i got, there were plastic rivets in 3 of those holes.... am i suppose to remove them? because i only have 3...
i was putting the clutch in today and the tsrm said to put the clutch cover and disk inside the tranny then connect it to the engine and screw on the bolts while someone turns the crank. to me that is a royal pita.
my question is about the clutch cover. i have a stage 4 action clutch kit. it...
the cam adjustment bolts on my titan gears dont seem to interfere with their rotation.... but ill double check today. i didnt even think to look at those.
seems like a lot of work for a "bolt on" lol
thanks for the tip and the pics
