Yes, there is an aftermarket crank for the stroker engines that have popped up once or twice. Cheap they are NOT.
The stock crank (no doubt modded like mentioned by jdub, possibly more...) can hold a ridiculous amount of power - Mibrum is still using one, and I seem to recall that he was way...
The only other thing I can think of is expandability - you can add an emanage to the E01 to get timing control.
You can add an emanage to the MAFT pro, but it's pretty much a waste to do it for just timing...
It's not exactly a straight swap, but it's certainly been done more than a few times and is rather well documented by now. Celicasupra would be the best place to get the information on how to go about it, afaik.

I'm sure that I represent the community when I offer our condolences. Even so, post your own thoughts as you wish. If you are a friend and would like Scott to contact you, drop me a PM with your contact info and I'll...
Only stays in open loop until the NBO2 sensor heater fires up, which isn't very long - under a minute at idle, on my car, when I was still running a NBO2. Are you using a stock O2 sensor? Or an aftermarket replacement? I've heard of some sensors not staying hot enough to register properly...
It's possible, sure. It wouldn't be easy, and you would lose your heater and throttle body coolant, but in theory you can live without both if you're looking to pull the heater core for, say, weight savings in a drag car.
I'm pretty sure that's just them covering their asses against silly lawsuits. Stands to reason that a solid unit will be different from the two piece stock unit.
