Of all the people on the planet to stick with a lemon car... they picked the WRONG ONE. Caddy should be at his doorstep with a brand new vehicle, handbuilt by a master mechanic, plus a suitcase full of cash. This guy could do more damage to their reputation in a week than Ralph Nader did in...
Sounds very much like classic BHG symptoms. Get a block test done on the coolant, if it fails, you need to replace the head gasket. The test should only cost a few bucks at a shop.
As TW mentioned, could be a clogged rad - but change the thermostat first. Then pull the rad, check that water...
Honestly, I don't think it would help, and searching is only part of the solution anyhow.
Places that start to rely on their search function have their own issues - like the fact that search is server intensive, and that gets worse as the forum grows in members and data backlog.

I use the Napa Gold, which I hear is just a rebadged Wix. I'd buy the Wix, but I don't think they are available in Canada.
Keith, you're dead on with the failure. I've been considering methods of extracting the useful information and making it available... some sort of Wiki perhaps. If...
In short, no, they are not all the same. I suspect that the antenna itself is the same, but the mounting kit is different for:
- no spoiler or 87-88 one piece spoiler
- 89+ three piece spoiler
The reason they fail is nothing special - pretty much the same reasons that every car has - oil starvation, caused by low oil or occasionally blocked oil passages. I've seen a case of high G force turns starving the oil pickup. I've seen a bunch of cases of BHG causing milkshake oil and that...
Everyone seems to have missed the fact that he has a GF with small hands THAT IS WILLING TO HELP WORK ON THE SUPRA!!!
Congratulations, and tell your girl that she's awesome from all of us.
