    lets talk about air filters

The problems with K&N filters aren't something you would notice... they let in too much grime with the air, and that will seriously decrease the life of your engine. Even so, we're not talking about anything that will kill your engine in a year, or two - or likely even 5.

    lets talk about air filters

Cliffs: K&N filters flow nice, but they basically don't provide any protection from dust, and they clog up fast. Not to worry, they don't stop allowing air in when they are clogged, they just stop filtering.

    Throttle Position Sensor??????

Reset the ECU, then check for codes again with the throttle in the idle position. If you still get the TPS code, you need to adjust it using the procedure in the TSRM.

    EGR cooler plate

It can be done without fussing with the motor mounts or the subframe, too... I just pulled off the throttle linkage to give me some room to work from the top. And I used a set of these...

    oil pump???

It's the same as a stock oil pump with a different label on it. :)

    EGR cooler plate

Heh... the shop manual says you have to pull the head to change that. It's possible to do it in the car - although I had to buy a special set of tools to do it.

    HKS SSQV Flange?

Any turbo performance shop will know exactly how to set this up... you'll need a couple caps to plug the stock BPV routing, and just use that signal on the HKS. If you can weld it yourself, we could dig out a parts list for the pipes with some searching, I figure, but if not, just let the shop...

Timing problems with diffrent thickness headgasket

Nope... we run a wasted spark system, so it's always lighting up two cylinders at once anyway. This really doesn't change much - it still fires 1 & 6 at zero degrees and 180 degrees. Hopefully, however, it will give you that extra range of adjustment that you need.

dead tps = running rich at idle? (please answer my theory)

True - hadn't thought of that. Good call, jdub!

    Suspension Advice?

Personally, I would ditch the TEMS and run the shocks of your choice (I'm still using the stock ones, actually) and a set of springs. Suspension Techniques springs are supposed to be soft enough to keep your stock shocks from blowing up... and this has worked for me so far.

    How many grease monkeys?

I let Randy (becauseican) do welding for my car... everything else is done by me. He's the only mechanic I'd trust to do things right, I've watched him work on other people's Supras, he uses a click type torque wrench on the LUGNUTS.

    MAFT running..Now just needs tuning

PS: A logfile really is required before we can see what's actually going on.

    MAFT running..Now just needs tuning

Are you using the MAFT pro as a boost controller? Stock 440cc injectors should have a mainscale of 0.0 as well, at least to start with.

dead tps = running rich at idle? (please answer my theory)

Your RPM is dependent on how much air is getting into the engine, not what your TPS reports. So this is unlikely to affect your RPMs. However, it is likely to affect a bunch of other stuff, so get it fixed! If it fails the tests in the TSRM, it's shot. I would suggest assuming that you've...

water in oil cooler! need advice

Just heat it up... get the girlfriend's hair dryer and blow hot air on it for 20 minutes. Or leave it in front of your fireplace... or above the stove.

I love that link. :) I'd love even more to know what a decent open air replacement for the K&N would be. Preferably something that is commonly available.

Timing problems with diffrent thickness headgasket

Shouldn't be related to your gasket thickness. We have seen this before, as I recall the fix was to rotate your CPS by 180 degrees.
