Boost control is easy. Go to the Boost Control page, set:
TPS Spool: 3v
RPM Spool: 3000rpm
TPS Start: 80%
PSI Start: 10
DC% Start: initially set this to about 15
PSI Set: Whatever you want your boost set to... 11, 12, 13 psi, whatever you want - and whatever you think is safe for your car, of...
The reason they are pointing you towards the other downpipe is because there is no other option. The only turbo that bolts to the stock manifold is the SP unit, and there is literally nothing other than an upgraded CT that will bolt to both manifold AND downpipe.
Start it up and spike the throttle so that it hits about 3000 rpm and then drops back to idle. Listen carefully for tapping as the RPMs move from increasing to decreasing. If it knocks there, chances are you have rod knock. :(
The thing that's awesome about it is the way that he is obviously enjoying it. Being good at something is one thing - being happy while doing it is another.
Turn on order doesn't matter.
Make sure you have everything plugged in, your computer is fired up, and TunerPro is running. Then press F4 to bring up the ALDL setup screen, browse for the .ADS file from the Definition File section, and select / create a logfile for recording and playback...
Logging with TunerPro is a little bit complex, but it's not impossible. :)
Can you connect to the MAFT pro? What kind of cable and port are you using?
If you can connect, you need to press F4 to open the setup screen and specify a log file... then you can record by clicking the red button on...
