    Career thread!

Software Quality Assurance manager. Basically I run the department that is responsible for testing all the development projects at a large multimedia firm. I don't exactly have much in the way of formal education. Note that if I did, I would have been in this position probably 10 years...

    Pressure plate difference? LOOK please!

I thought they were both just stock units, repainted blue. I'd be concerned about any differences. (Of course, I'd take better photos, too. :()

    need some help

The reason they are pointing you towards the other downpipe is because there is no other option. The only turbo that bolts to the stock manifold is the SP unit, and there is literally nothing other than an upgraded CT that will bolt to both manifold AND downpipe.

    Knock - not rod knock!?

Sure, you can have rod knock on TWO cylinders, in which case pulling the spark for a single cylinder won't stop it.

    KNOCK? is it real

Start it up and spike the throttle so that it hits about 3000 rpm and then drops back to idle. Listen carefully for tapping as the RPMs move from increasing to decreasing. If it knocks there, chances are you have rod knock. :(

    How many grease monkeys?

I do that on my car as well - but Randy does it on cars that people bring him for service. I've literally never seen a shop do that.

I've never seen an Apexi in person... is it capable of bolting straight onto a 3 or 4 inch pipe? Might have to go digging for better pictures...

    MAFT running..Now just needs tuning

Turn on order doesn't matter. Make sure you have everything plugged in, your computer is fired up, and TunerPro is running. Then press F4 to bring up the ALDL setup screen, browse for the .ADS file from the Definition File section, and select / create a logfile for recording and playback...

    MAFT running..Now just needs tuning

Logging with TunerPro is a little bit complex, but it's not impossible. :) Can you connect to the MAFT pro? What kind of cable and port are you using? If you can connect, you need to press F4 to open the setup screen and specify a log file... then you can record by clicking the red button on...
