7mgte block with no oil squirts??

Suze once told me that the JDM engines didn't come with squirters.

Fuck streetracing. My friends could be dead right now.

Thinking? I don't think that enters into the equation. Look on the positive side though - they will likely learn from the experience, and it wasn't bad enough that you need to book time off work for a funeral.

I dont even know what to do.

A bunch of the folks posting here have it right, essentially, but it's different for every person. What you need to find is something that you can enjoy and concentrate on - personally, I ride a mountain bike, and I'll stop in the middle of the woods, look around for a few minutes, and remind...

    7m Ball bearing spool time?

Personally, I think that 500rwhp at low RPMs is just going to net you a crapload of wheelspin. I'm not to that point yet and full boost is completely useless through the first 2 gears, 3rd gear you need to be careful with... by 4th you can really let it rip, but by then you're going DAMN FAST.

why do DADs make things looks so easy grrrr

We just have many more years of experience doing things. You don't get to raise children to their teenage years without learning how to deal with problems or going insane. Or sometimes both. :)

    drawing a car in MSPaint

Unfreakingbelievable. Very nice job... imagine what that guy could do with virtually any decent photo editing program - or even better, Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw!

Checking out bottom end, need some advice

I thought that would be the case... it's usually pretty easy to pick out the trashed bearing. As to bearing sizes, I've always gotten my machinist to order them... I'm sure they have some system for measuring the crank and rod, but I'm not familiar with the exact procedure. BTW - stock sizes...

Checking out bottom end, need some advice

I'll bet one of the bearings is fried - one is more than enough to cause this noise...

    Grrr

Those tranny sensors are a stone cold bitch to get at - the connector for them is usually on top of the tranny, a couple feet from where you can reach it on top. The only way I can think of to get them disconnected would be to disconnect the tranny mount, let the tailshaft down enough that you...

    Grrr

Yup, there are three more wires that head that way on a 5 speed, anyhow. Starter, backup sensor (for the reverse lights) that goes to the tranny, and speed sensor for the antilock brakes.

Checking out bottom end, need some advice

The bearings that you pulled out - are they silver or copper colored? The rule of thumb is that silver bearings are fine, copper colored ones are toast. The scratches on the rod caps sound like marks to keep them in order... when you pull them out, you're supposed to mark them so that you can...

Why do supras HG always blow anyway?

I'd say this is unlikely. I'm going to quote the doc for a second here, and say that the weakest link in the 7M engine is the owner. From experience with my personal engine - when I was TRYING to blow the head gasket up and couldn't do it, I was pushing 20psi with a stock CT26 on a stock...

Mkiii owner....... dire need of guidance

Ticking is often just valves, rod knock sounds like someone banging on your block with a hammer. In any case, it's virtually always the rod big end bearings that go, fixing it is usually a matter of getting your block and crank disassembled and cleaned, put in new bearings, and polish the...

Is there a difference in doors

Above the latching mechanism, as I recall. Might just be something you can bolt from one to the other, I've never looked THAT closely at it. Mine is a hardtop, or I'd go snap a picture.

    Boost issues... creep/spikes?

If that fails, pull the regulator back off and see if the problem goes away. If so, chalk it up to a faulty reg.

    HTML in my vPic Gallery

No HTML in there - you can try if you like, it just ignores it if I recall. I seem to remember that it allows some vBulletin codes, but not all of them. You're more than welcome to experiment, just don't get too upset when something doesn't work.

    this stinks

Take the head off and get the machine shop to: - Check it for hardness - Check it for straightness - Machine it flat - Tell you how much material has been taken off when they are done. Take this measurement, add it to anything you take off the block, add the thickness of a stock headgasket, and...
