Yeah, you'll need a scope to see it.
I don't know aggressively you're wanting to persue this; but, it would be fairly easy to build a small amplifier and have it light up a couple of LED's.
Patching it in to the factory harness might be more of a challenge though.
Code 51 is now gone.
The TPS was waaaay out of adjustment. I got it all dialed in and all measurements per the TSRM were good. So if it still has that constant throttle jitter, I'm going to tackle the ISC Valve.
One thing that scared the hershey's out of me tonight was that while on a...
First and foremost!!! No more boosting till this is sorted out. AFR's bouncing between 11-13 is NOT stable and 13 is dangerous!
What does your MAP read at 'Key On'? (engine not running)
What's your mainscale set to?
What turbo?
Waiting for your settings...
From the little bit of research that I've done, the amplitude would be quite small. In millivolts.
If the documentation on the OP is correct, then the sensor isn't tuned to a certain frequency. It has a filter.
I suspect that this is correct because it jives with what IJ said about our...
I'll check for loose screws and re-test per the TSRM.
My A/C Button wasn't on and the pedal wasn't down at all while checking codes. So that narrows it down to the throttle plate, adjustment, or bad TPS.
I'm going to clean the ISC Valve too. It's been doing this miss type of thing while...
So I got a code 51. The car hasn't been running quite right and today really started running bad. Bad enough to throw a code. Woo Hoo!!
I checked for codes yesterday....nothing! Today after running like poop...51!
About a month ago I checked the TPS per the TSRM and all was good. I...
Set the gain to 0 and see what she does.
I've got a small spike (1-2psi) as soon as it hits my desired max boost; but, that's it. No spikes after that.
Here's my last dyno run for reference.
I'm not a big power house by any means; but, I'm putting down more power now too. I recently upgraded fuel system along with the Maft Pro.
As soon as I get the tune where I want, off to see where she's at.
Plus, I'm now hanging in on the list by a thread. Can't have that! :biglaugh:
Here's how to check for codes:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=FI&P=23
It's really easy and a good place to start. They refer to something called an 'SST'. Don't worry about that because a paper clip will work.
No spring changing with the HKS. The more boost, the harder it seals! I don't like the sound of it though.
I just changed to that from a TurboXS. I LOVED the sound of it; but, didn't want to deal with changing springs.
Problem #1: Have you pulled codes...checked all related fuses? Have you done any troubleshooting per the TSRM?
Problem #2: Fix problem #1 first. ;)
Have you posted in the tech section? You'll get more exposure there.
The pulls in your second vids seem normal to me.
My buddy's 7mgte is stock except for intake and exhaust and yours seems to boost about like his does.
The 20G is a bit more laggy than the stock CT.
Not that I'm anything great; but, man I wish we were closer to each other. I'd come help.
Milton is on the West Side, right?
What's wrong...have you started a thread anywhere?
I second the notion of a stock disc with an upgraded pressure plate.
Now, if you plan on going somewhat big in the power department and have the cash, the ACT XTSS is a nice choice. It's a full disc so you won't get the chatter of a puck clutch.
