    Really Wild looking Scandinavian MKIII

I vaguely recall this guy, and he's rather extreme. I seem to recall something about building a custom exhaust - starting with a 3 inch turbo back, sawing the thing in half lengthwise, then welding in 3 inches of steel along the top and bottom the entire length of the thing. Takes some SERIOUS...

One Time Smoke Screen - Explain this : /

Pull off your oil cap while idling, see if there is a fair bit of steam coming out of there. If there is, it's likely blowby, picks up oil, dumps it into the intake pre-turbo, then builds up a fair bit in the IC pipes until you give 'er, then pumps it all through the intake into the engine and...

heat went out on my supra

Actually, bypassing it has very little effect on the system. The valve is only ever closed when you have the CC set to full cold.

heat went out on my supra

Have your girlfriend change the climate control from full hot to full cold while you watch this valve. If it doesn't move, it's toast. You can just bypass it entirely, or you can pull it to open and zip tie it there. :)

    MKIV Seats in the MKIII?

Meh - the Recaro seats are light, but the fabric on them is terrible and they aren't anywhere near as comfortable after 100+ miles. Fabric > Leather MkII seats > MkIII seats > MkIV seats Anyone else notice that the leather used on the seats has gotten worse over the years? The MkII leather...

    MDC motorsports

Ok, here's my 2 cents. First and foremost, I refuse to take sides unless I can inspect the turbo myself. It's literally impossible to say who is at fault, or even what went wrong, when you are getting 3 different stories from 3 different parties OVER THE INTERNET. With that in mind, some of...

stupid lying pre-owner...Pictures page 3 added.

Good plan on the carfax. Anything could have caused that - girlfriend carving her name in the paint with a key after a bad breakup comes to mind.

Do people call you by your SM name?

I get called GrimJack all the time, especially people from the Supra club. Jack, too. Considering my name is Dave, it's a little odd, but you can get used to anything. :)

I don't have a picture handy, but mine is bolted to the passenger fender next to the air filter.

Better way to work under your car

Actually, it works rather well - a local guy here fabbed up the same thing as a painting jig. He's a restoration shop, so the cars are bare body when they are in the thing, of course. He's also got it on wheels, so he can tip a car on it's side, roll it into the sandblast booth, roll it over...

This is why you shell out the dollars for the real deal, a BIC DDP, which is the one I have. Google is your friend. :D

    completion

Must admit, the best part of that build is the "1J THIS" on the cam gear cover. Nicely done, that thing should scare the local wildlife for quite a distance.

    DDp

It's never run rough, nor does it sound like I have an exhaust leak. Hell, it's not even loud unless I really get on it, because I keep the boost controller set high enough that when the wastegate finally opens, I'm well over the speed limit in the city anyway.

    60-1 power?

Well, as long as you're willing to accept a range, it's easy. Somewhere between 250 - 500 hp, depending on altitude, ambient temperature, tuning, engine condition, dyno, and mods on your car.
