The wastegate actuator doesn't fit at all, you have to get a new one. I picked on up from JTamulis, I'd seriously recommend him, he knew exactly what I needed and got it in the mail damn fast.
Couple of things that should be temperature related that you can check...
The BVSV that controls the line from the charcoal canister to the intake. When the engine is cold, you should not be able to blow through it.
The vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator... it should have no vacuum...

This depends on where you live, what types of emission tests you need to pass, how much money you are willing to invest, and how much performance / reliability you are willing to lose.
