Now it gets complicated. You need to pull all the shims that aren't in spec, keeping track of where they came from. Then measure them with a micrometer and calculate what thickness you actually needed in each spot. Then check to see if you can swap shims around to get most of them in spec...

How much damage? Scoring in there is common and doesn't matter unless it's really severe. Got any pics?
