LOL - not so grim. :) If you're an asshat, I'm like those fast women you know, zero to BITCH in 1.8 seconds.

    lets play a new game!

Galvanic corrosion is a mean thing. I flooded my computer once, running a water cooling system with a copper / aluminum waterblock. Ate completely through 10mm of aluminum in a couple months. One of the reasons why I find copper head gaskets to be such a scary thought with our aluminum head...

How well do you keep up with your Supra?

Not in that level of detail - but I do keep track of what I replace and when. But no costs. Don't EVER add up the costs.

who is online..... i need help

I picked up some spray lube - not WD40, I'm not fond of that cocktail - pulled the caps off the end of the cables from the throttle and the cruise control, and sprayed some up in there. At the same time, I hit all the moving parts on the throttle linkage, then worked them back and forth a bit...

    round mounts?

Agreed, those are definitely not Supra mounts.

Is there a demand for custom Fiberglass interior parts?

This would be a great idea - though I'd probably scrap the hole, and just make it cut-to-fit whatever size piping you are planning on using. I'd also like to see someone make a spare tire mold for a sub box. Something that slides perfectly into the spare tire well, then comes up to just under...

    Fiberglass sub box mockup *PICS*

I'd try it with the volume you have now - manufacturer's specs are always whacked. It's easy to cut that out, less so to add it back in later... (Of course you could use the dirty trick of just gluing wooden blocks into the inside of the chamber to drop the volume again later. Not that I've...

    I am Legend

In a few spots, it's scary. Mostly not, though, it's definitely not built to be a horror. I enjoyed it. The story problems were liveable, the effects were well done, the acting was likewise well done. I like the way that Ford dominates the future. (tongue firmly planted in cheek here...)

    lets play a new game!

I'd be willing to bet it turns out to be much simpler. As in, there is a leak high up in the coolant system that is allowing air in, and the overflow tube being the lowest out point makes for a small demonstration of a siphon. Got a radiator pressure tester? Edit - beat to the punch by...

Use of stock shift knob with sogi mod

No, your math skills are teh suck. It does shorten the throw. Not by much, mind you, but it's certain measureable.

That's Jay Marks pricing, they seem to include a good discount on all orders.

    crank repair

That's riCOCKulous. Buy a new shortblock from Toyota. Comes with a new block, pistons, rods, rings, bearings and thrust washers, and the cost is $2382.36. Or... buy a new crank from Toyota. Cost is $677.65

I haven't had a spare tire for nearly 20 years. I haven't had a flat, either, but just in case I do, I have this AAA card in my wallet that bails me out. 2x10 in the spare tire well is pretty easy to do, I keep meaning to get around to it myself. At the moment, I have the amps, distribution...

Interesting Read on the use of Chrome moly in roll cages

I kinda thought that should be the case, I mean, my mountain bike frame is, and it costs under $2k and really shouldn't go any faster than 60mph. Drag races are at least an order of magnitude more expensive, 5 times the speed, and goodness only knows how much more acceleration.

    BHG fix cost.

Unless your head is warped, which is likely. Or annealed, if it's been overheated a lot, which is also likely. Or your block / head sealing surfaces are badly pitted, which is also likely. Show me a guy who puts a gasket (even an OEM gasket) back on with unprepped surfaces and I'll show you a...

    Carbon Fiber Driveshaft pics

Keep in mind that Duane (upgradedsupra) has been running a CF driveshaft on his monster for years. And he puts a lot of miles on that car. And he doesn't drive slow. :D

    BHG fix cost.

I had a similar leak and it was the head gasket - blew from the coolant jacket on #6 to the outside world, oddly enough, and didn't actually leak much. It still passed a leak down test with flying colors, of course, as the combustion chamber was still perfectly sealed. It got annoying...

Interesting Read on the use of Chrome moly in roll cages

Same problem in mountain bike frames. If they crack, which happens often, they *can* be fixed, but you have to weld them, then re-heat treat them afterwards. I wonder if they treat the entire frame on these cars after the initial welding?
