the valve stem size is already at at around 5.8-5.9mm. Any smaller and i guarantee you that you will probably start breaking valves.
as for the valve guide. Cutting them down.. pointless. Regardless if they are an obstruction or not. There is a reason why those stems NEVER...
the socketless will work but be aware that it is not as sturdy as the SS braided AQP hose. Reason is that the SS brainding serves to protect the hose from damage also. hence if it will run under the car. Run SS line and not the socketless line.

the only reason people do everything is cuz it is not a simple job.
So if you change the pressure plate.. change the throwout bearing, center bearing, rear main seal while the tranny is out :)
unfortunatly out of your price range the HPF feramic with ACT pressure plate is probably hands down the clutch to beat for our cars. ;)
with a 450 dollar budget kinds of limits it to spec and ACT. As for RPS... i wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

91 mm stroke.. perhaps an easy 7000 rpm on stock bottom. Built bottom 8k easily (BMW S54 has same stroke as our car and a 8k redline from factory ;) )
