statistical probability.
it is bound to happen. Not all defects can be caught unfortuantly. :(
But with that said.
Why don't i see more people use spin on filter from say,
Canton
or
System1
yeah a bit pricey but man, for those to give the ghost up take a HELL of a lot...
First off. If it ain't broke. Don't fix it. Regardless of what the current flavor of the BHG is today. BHG is caused by one of two things.
Overheat or upping the power. Period.
Do none and the motor will survive.
225,000 mile motor to prove it on OEM even with a moderate power increase...
If 1/4 miles is the issue then the last thing in the car should be a slow as Manual. No amount of short shifting will ever be as fast as a quicker shifting Auto. At that point, auto all the way.
Depends on the states
Some states is just showing the DMV the car as it sits AFTER being fixed. They look it over, issue a clean title. Done.
Others have to go through inspection and yada yada ya.

Chrysler sold the "300m" in AU. It is the version prior to the current 300C. The coils are OK. "Tuners" like them not because they are stout but because any, and I mean more specifically the AEM CDI, can drive them unlike the MSD Racing coils or the Mecury Marine Thunderbolt coils (MoTeC...
Motec CDI-8 for the win. Which mind you is the only Motec CDI not made by M&W ;) Only reason it is FTW though is the ONE wire to light up to eight cylinders up sequentially. :)
Army? NG or active? :) Ex Air Force here.
they won't dumb it down. No need to. The talk without all the acronyms which is where people get stuck on.
Be prepared to crunch numbers to get a general idea of base fueling requirments before tuning. The advanced stuff is good for hands on...
short shifters on the R154 are pointless.
To quick. You will be attempting to hammer through the gears but infact be slower. IE measured by time. No what you mind or butt dyno feel. The R154 was not designed with short shifter so as such all it is, is a "feel good" mod. I rather leave the...
EFI101 is no good!! :p
all kidding aside.
efi101 is actually real beneficial. When someone knows what they are talking about (Ben Strader) you get to learn from that knowledge. Are they worth it. You bet your ass they are.
Watching them work and getting explained what terms like MBT...
Used is USED regardless if it is JDM or USDM.
Even though they say they look at the motors. If they are not measuring both main and rod bearings (which is time consuming and I highly doubt they are taking thier time to do it right), changing them to get them within specificiation. I rather do...
well
that fan is connected DIRECTLY to the water pump. so you had two things going. One no air, two the water was not moving either hence the overheat.
These motors do not like being overheated. To long and cause issues when they do overheat.
btw welcome to the forums!
Yeah, somehow I think my 4 inch exhaust kind of mutes that pretty damn good.
anyway the weldon pumps that do that are 2035 which mind you are not recommended for street duties. ;) Spins to damn fast even with the dial-a-flow.
The 2345 on the other hand, spins alot slower but moves heaps and...
