lol I am just looking for ideas at the moment I don't want to glue it to the dash but when I came home I held the tablet over my head unit and I can see it fitting beautifully with a few little modifications to the dash itself like trimming up the trim piece a little bit from behind to let the...
I only really want to hear the speakers in the cabin anyway I don't care about the speakers in the trunk, my spare tire and jumper cables don't need to rock out with me lol I believe my mk3 has 6 speakers it's a 91 turbo targa if that makes a difference. I need to replace my speakers anyway the...
What kind of amp would I need like a 500W amp or something? I have not dealt with car audio stuff in so long the last time I handled that stuff was in my brother's 96 impala SS helping him install his sound system and we did that in early 2000s
While I have been starting to watch Mighty Car Mods I did not get the idea from them lol I had the idea for awhile since apparently a 7in screen fits well in our cars and thought why not put in a tablet to have everything I want and also design the UI myself or customize it at least. I did not...
I was thinking about installing a 7in tablet to replace the head unit, have it plugged in like route the power cable behind the dash to the cigarette lighter so I can possibly charge things with a car charger at the same time as charging the tablet or will that be overloading the cig lighter...
Alright so I checked the AFM Ohms I only had time for that and forgive my ignorance on using multimeters but I got 3.9 ohms at 200k on my multimeter, it is about 48 degrees outside and when I checked the harness plug of the AFM it read 5.0. The car is also only showing engine code 24 now.
I meant I set the motor at TDC and lined up the CPS to be at TDC, lining up the hole in the gear with the notch. I accidentally typed TPS instead of CPS, my mistake.
Elaborate so I can make it easier.
I set the motor to TDC and TPS to TDC and checked it before tightening I should get a timing light to make sure the timing is right. I will give checking the connections a shot but do I have to check the connections from the ECU behind the dash or the wiring harness?
Sorry I forgot to update this thread the past few days went from being great to kind of rough, not with the car other than the error code issues.
I checked everything, reconnected everything, cleaned up the connections with a toothbrush and 90% isopropyl and the car still idles rough like it...
Replaced my headlights with Silverstar 4000Ks, look like HIDs. Next is to replace my parking lights since my passenger side one is out but how the hell do you get to it?
the car is still running rough with error codes 21, 24, and 31 which I have found to be air temperature sensor, AFM, and O2...
The car is running like crap, I checked the wires and reconnected everything still runs like crap and I assume it's still throwing those codes. Is there some kind of reset I can do or do I have to replace the AFM, which I need to do anyway since the filter adapter piece broke on mine, and the O2...
Well after trying to get it right I decided to just set the motor to tdc and go from there odd thing is it starts up fine then when it warms up it struggles to the point where it dies. There are also three codes, 21, 24, 31 in that order. Which I have found to be the 02 sensor and afm...
when I turn the CPS clockwise it moves toward the numbers on the block right now the marker is to the left of the numbers and when I turn the CPS clockwise it moves the marker toward the numbers. What I need to know is which way do I turn the CPS gear so I can accurately time it, seems like it...
So turning it clockwise might give it more advance? I want to remove the turbo intake and try starting it up that way but it would make it run like crap huh?
