Yea it moves the mark and I made sure the CPS went in correctly because I slowly slid it in with ease and pulled it out to check that it was still lined up. I highly doubt my timing belt is incorrect because if it was off the car would run like crap but the car runs fine. When my CPS cover comes...
Not all of us can afford nor have the space for 3 supras lol. I don't like the 7M very much anyway it's not a bad motor but it's an old tough girl. Mine especially because my 7M has been through a lot ever since I have been fiddling with it and she is only leaking a very very small amount of oil...
I have already made my decision to go for a 1JZ instead of 2JZ, the 7M is a great and stout motor and all but the JZ motors are just much better motors overall. I plan on keeping my 7M running then buy a 1jz and while I have that motor out replace all of the seals, get the head and block decked...
quick question, when you set the motor to TDC you line up the crank notch to the 0 mark right? then you adjust the timing to 10 degrees from there? Also my motor growls if I get on it after about 3000 RPM it didn't used to growl as loud as it does, I haven't done it ever since I found my clutch...
There is an odd rattling sound when I press the clutch and rev it sounds like that thin plastic that chocolates come in. I'll find out soon enough when I replace my clutch next week.
Excuse my typos I was posting from my phone at the bar last night lol. So I guess I will be going with a stock kit and replacing the flywheel and pressure plate bolts as well and resurface the flywheel.
Dm says the stock clutch can handle about 350hp so it seems like I'll go it's also cheaper. Like I said I don't plan on swapping motors for a long time
We don't get much snow in Houston lol I kind of want to make the labor worth it and be futureproof since I.plan on swapping an 1jz but not anytime soon
