May just be a leaky hose at the back of the motor on the exhaust side (90* rubber hose. Its hard to see with the exhaust sheild on and a real PITA to get to. Its like 5\8 IIRC
I know all about the fun of swaping tails on a supra.:biglaugh:
Looks great! You did put in new tail-light gaskets while doing so yes? Almost every supra needs new ones lol. Or were you one of the lucky few?
Better than factory by far. I have the turbo inlet and IC pipes. I won an auction and got them cheeper than the buy it now price so I didn't do too bad.
Having said that, the downside: worm clamps!?! WTF man...worthless, shipping = forever, and you have to contact them every week to make...
Cutting or heating springs is just stupid. You will never get it uniform and those "new" struts will be blown in a matter of weeks. You can get eibachs & tanabe for like 200 new so used should be around a bill. Just think of all the time and money you will save to do it right, especialy if...
$800 for a running car is great! Think of it this way, if you pull the motor and drop it in your soop and sell the cressida shell for 400-500 you will be far ahead. Drop some pics of the cressida. I may buy the shell from you if you don't wana keep it. I will have a new 7m for my supra soon...
$2000 for the car. $3000-3500 in upgrades, wheels, and the rebuild. Still have paint&body, turbo upgrade, and coilovers to purchase soon. Probably have around 10-12k in it when I'm done. It's a fun car and even if I hit 15k it will still be far cheaper than a new car of similar power.
B-pillar vent replacements would be an instant buy for me. Carbon fiber jdm style rain guards would be pimp! How about a center console with REAL cupholders? Upper and lower grill inserts for both bumper styles (lower ducted for intercooler).
One in the head and two in the chest.:bigun2:
All that jackass crap is pointless. People who actualy enjoy watching that have major issues. I'm glad the guy read him the riot act, but he should have called the police and sent his little punk ass to the pokey so he could get raped.:icon_evil
Thanks! Yea I have not found a rebuild thread yet, but I guess I should take pics for all to see when I do mine. I was trying to avoid my local dealership as they love price jacking and none of my local parts stores have anything for me.
Well my differential seems to need a rebuild. I would like to do the work myself just to learn another area of my car anyway. What I need is a rebuild kit for my lsd and I was wondering where to go and what brands to get. I might get an extra LSD from another supra to build and was also...
:runaway: I have the hardpipe from cooleeze and it is nice but not worth more than $70. If it came with t-bolts instead of wormclamps, his welds were better and cleaner, and they could ship anything out before the end of time, then I would recomend them. As it stands now I will never do...
