I did it once it was easy as hell. Get your new 89+ bumper and find all the mounting places, then relate that to the old one. 1 hour tops. Don't forget your foglights and foglight mounts on a 89+ are different!

If you do the taillights also do the trim. The 89+ is plastic and the pre89 is a weird rubber coated metal. I think there is an issue with the pre 89 supras fitting 89+ turn signals as well. Other than that its a fairly straight forward process.

I would never buy "racing" seats from autozone. I have sat in a few civics with them and they are uncomfortable as hell. Don't know about safety on those but its all in the mounting and the metal substructure of the seat. If it says for offroad use only I would be wary as that is a loop hole...

On mine you can hear and feal it especialy on deceleration. Lots of vibration. You have a carrier bearing which usualy goes out the uni joints and then there is the bonding rubber in the tailshaft that rotts away.

Is it just the paint on the lip and nowhere else? It could be a paint prep issue, or someone or something hit it and the paint doesn't have enough flex additive in it to take a hit. Just an educated guess...
