i just set timming an a stocker, the timming should be 10+ btdc, i usualy set mine at 11/12 like you said, thats with the test connector jumped, the ecu adjust's timming as needed, and the only way to correctly set it is with the t/e1 jumped in the diag box, other wise base timming...

well does the w/b read rich or lean when the car is tring to start? if the w/b cuts out wire it to a sperate batterie, that way it doesn' re-set when the car starts. being to rich or to lean will cause hesitation and boggin/stutering problems.

did the key break and is in two peices? or did it crack the snot of the crank? can you get some better pictures? when you say smoothed the key, im seeing a broken key, and it being stuck in the snot of the crank, if thats the case do your best to remove it and see if a new one...

i'm thinking about getting some megan racing seats. Looking for something that will look nice with updated seat belts. After driving sandrails on the dunes for so long I hate the feeling of wearing "normal" seat belts compared to 4 or 5 point race harness's in an mk3 shot..
