    Tacoma 5-speed auto in a MKIII?

    any thing is possible, you would need the harness, tranny ecu, and more htne likely a bell housing, then you could probaly use a sport stykle shifter from a lex or mr2 and custom fit i to your application.. it would be interesting..

    so ive been told, thats half why i started this thread, i am lost of the difference now.. but length i haven't checked, it must be different splin on the 5spd's and length on the auto's.. or is there a difference between turbo auto and n/a?

    that showed the same shaft in three different ways. first all as a unit, then front half and rear half, look at the part numbers, 37110 rear, 37120 front, 37100 complete,

    thats what i thought, through me off when i sliped the yoke together on bother trannies though.. so it's a length difference? is it so much that people couldn't re-use their auto drive shaft? or is their not enough contacting surface area of the splins?

    i supose you could maybe melt the plastic lock cap out, and then drive the joint cap out, im pretty sure there's machined grove in their for a clip, but needs the plastic chiped out first.. im not saying it's possble but ive done this before on other d/s or this type.. ive yet to...

    well guys, i have my stuff ready for the 5spd swap, and just got a 5spd d/s front half from the flee market.. it's 23 splin, and i checked to see it fit my 5spd, but curiously i checked my auto aswell, and it fit! my car is an n/a auto and im puttin an r154 in her, are the front drive...

    fuel pressure bleed off

    true dat jj, i have had pumps go on me where they would run, idle, and get around, but no top end, i riped the exhaust off, thinkin i had a clogged cat, vac test's, compression, and so on, did some fuel test's and i had a low flow problem, it would build pressure, but couldn't maintain it...

    yeah go big shaft joe, you know that turbonectics turbo in my room has a broken ct26 shaft in it. it probaly had a 60-1 on it or sum thing, im missin the compressor housin so just dont know.. but at the price of that if you seriously did source that we just might buy 2...
