Fuel cut ?'s for 550s with Lex

the fact that you stated your going off of busted (or unreliable) gauges would signify postponing most head scratching until you have reliable data.

60psi base + 10psi boost= roughly 79psi fuel pressure, WAY outside the stock pumps abilities. good pump comparison

    ROD KNOCK in one day!!!!!!!!!!!

agreed 7m's arent PRONE to rod knock more then any other motor out there. this appears to be a HUGE misconception. either it was NOT repaired properly, or something else happend most likely involving lack of attention to the oil or trash floating through the motor (again, some didnt stay...

No close loop on 88 7MGTE

The computer assumes the car is at operating temps if the ecu temp sensor is disconnected. You'll get a code, but idle should still be 14.7af ratio or in normal closed loop range. And open loop idle for me is in the 12's af ratio if i disconnect the o2 sensor (forcing open loop). It doesn't...

Take that boost leak tester you rigged up and grab a piece of silicone coupler, stick it on the tail pipe and pressurize it. Helps immensely with finding tiny leaks pre o2 and you can take your time inspecting all the connections and joints on the exhaust system.

Oil Cooler Setup on a Budget

pic 1 no choice but to stick it in front of the inter cooler until i can add a different IC that mounts horizontally with the front bumper and lower rad. support. The OC is to thick to stick behind the IC with the condenser and is nearly as long as the radiator. It wont fit between the...

Oil Cooler Setup on a Budget

pic 1 is of the craptastic stocker. Pic 2, i reused the stock filter head with a spin on adapter and the bypass valve shimmed shut with a bolt, no play to open at all and then capped the hose end off. The spin on adapter has no adjustment to where the hose ends face in relation to when it...

Oil Cooler Setup on a Budget

the goods, fourth pic is thermostat, or "thermopellet" as the mazda guys call it. Oil bypasses MOST of the cooler through that hole and when it hits the right temp the thermopellet expands and blocks that hole shut forcing oil through the cooler only. In fifth pic you can see into the...
