To be short, i wouldnt expect much or hold my breath for long given hes 0-2 so far ;)
Run to autozone, buy the block tester fluid ($7) and rent the block tester tool (money is returned when tool is). If your getting coolant in the combustion chamber there will be combustion gases in the coolant.
superb! Glad to know why, and not just what the outcome is. Thank you figgie!:bigthumb:
Is the critical velocity the point in which the pump runs out of steam, or is it in which the fuel system (lines, rails, fittings) cant keep up?
edit: seems to be a combo of both in which things dead...
I had to turn my gauge so that it faced up so i could vent it (makes for an odd reading angle). Only while reading or adjusting.
A non filled gauge might make things easier in the long run.
that rubber circle is the port, it will bleed the fluid out if you have it facing down or sideways. Pull it off completly, its just a little plug, when reading the gauge
I think its the modifications stacked on top of a stock ecu. If i let it engine brake to below 1500 rpms it will usually hit 750rpms solidly and drop slowly to 650rpms.
;) You might have to loosen the gauge and spin it around if need be.
Its under the intake mani In front of the egr vsv. When coolant temps are high enough it allows the regulator to be opened to atmosphere to avoid or help vapor lock on start up. If it is hooked up, maybe its opening...
With my walbro, fuel flow decreases as pressure increases. How is it that i run richer when i increase base pressure considering flow is being decreased?
Looking at charts that have been posted it would appear that you'd run richer with lower fuel pressure to a certain point (keeping...
no, his supra, The motor posted was 7m. This is my back up plan for the time being until i get the time to piece together a 2j swap. I will be putting one of their short blocks in if/when i blow this one up.
they are local to me and frontierguy just installed a short block from them last weekend. So far so good and he already has a few drags on it as well.
For a basic rebuild, its hard to beat!
jdub, a few guys have said they dont have an issue with speed cut. Is there something that is different from car to car that would allow this? Is the speed input used on abs cars vs non abs car?
