Only way to make it look good and function properly.
I don't feel power isn't the problem here. i've been doing 500 lbs of torque for about 4 years or so. Something is binding in the shaft or the pump. The belt is still turning, and the force of the belt pulling on the gear shears it. It would be very interesting to have a place take a look at...
Something caused this.. time for a root cause analysis.
I would guess the oil pump driveshaft froze for a second or so, the stress between the belt pulling on that gear, and the not wanting to turn driveshaft snapped the gear into bits.
Did everyone that had this happen have the cam gears...
Just an FYI.. you don't ahve to show up for the entire weekend if time.money doesn't permit. Cooem hang out with on saturday. Check out the dyno, have some lunch, and head out later.
Just wait.. just wait.
bwahahah.
I've had a "few" drinks this evening. Stella Artois for the mutha fuckin win.
I might give rides at the ohio meet. I want a video of a 4th gear 70 to 120 run. On the dyno it took me 4 seconds to do it. I wonder if its quicker now. :)
Hmm. I didn't think those 023s where that large. Maybe they are bigger than what I rememeber. I was thinking the 026 got you into the bigger (.325) chain.
That's been 5 years ago too. I'm sure they've made product changes in that time.
Those chaps are awesome. You can run the saw at...
Duuuude.. you're like an hour and half, 2 hours away. At least come out for the stuff on saturday. Even a half day would be cool.
The car was broken in about 2 miles from the garage. I've got like 240 miles on it now. I'll be running race gas and some hi boost during the meet. Compresson...
Did you time (spark timing) the car?? I bet not since you didn't remove the CPS. You need to time the car properly. You'll need a timing light for this.
Also, as everyone else has said, ensure your cam gears and crank are timed correctly. This is cam timing we're talking about in this...
There is a set of blocks have have finishes on them. You can just match the finish with one of the blocks in the kit. I think the kit is only $40 or so. I thought about buying one... but ehh.
Why didn't you get the 088?? Wussy. :)
The 023C's are great little saws. Problee a 12" bar with a 3/8 "pico" chain. The quick adjust chain tensioner. Good stuff. All for about $150 or so.
Used to sell those things back in college.
I've had my 1/2 drive craftsman wrench for about 8 years now. It's been good to me. 4 years ago I had it calibrated at my workplace. I was standing there when the guy did it. He said it was spot on.
I've had a 3/8 craftsman die on me forwahtever reason. Something broke inside. I could...
